The defense would be to blame had we lost. But since we did, oh well.

It could have been worse. I mean they didn't force any turnovers, but at the same time that says a lot when they hold a team to 20 points without ever taking the ball away from them. Ware's 4th down stop and Glenn's deflection were huge.

And as clutch as he was, it wasn't Romo that they have to thank. He wasn't the best player on our team today by any stretch of the imagination.

In the NFL scoreing sells tickets, sell hotdogs, sells everything

Rules are tilted strongly to favor the offense.................NFC East battle is gonna look rough around the edges............Gints backs were against the wall

Other teams try also.............But we Did stick it in there when it counted

Yeah but we played alot of zone forcing manning to make good decisions and precise throws and he did all day. They ran the ball well because we had our safeties back most of the game.

It is tough to watch us play this zone base defense where teams have to drive the field, but it is working. The giants are the only team to really go up the field on us in this manner and score, in the past 6 weeks.

Again it is hard to watch because it is a slow death on some drives, but most of the game they could not make the big play or the clutch play.

It is working.

my math must be bad. i thought that rushing 4 meant that you had 7 in coverage. yet their WR's were wide open all over the field. I'm confused.

I want to see the TOP numbers for the 2nd half. It seemed like the defense was on the field for 20+ minutes.

yeah they blew it late, but Romo has alot to be thankful for today as well...

he had a couple of picks and could have had 2 or 3 others, including one that should have went for 7 the wrong way...

Yeah, the D only gave up 20, but how long did the Gints hold the ball for? I think every one of those scoring drives were long a plodding. The Cowboys just couldn't stop them when they needed to, for the most part.

But hey, that's a good Giants offense out there. A very good offense. 23-20 is as good as 23-0 for me.

Their wide receivers were open near the line of scrimmage, underneath the coverage. They did next to nothing down the field.

Giants kept it 10:05 to our 4:55 in the 3rd quarter. We actually had the edge in the 4th quarter. The Giants won almost every statistical category, including total yards, sacks, and turnover margin. We won this game because of how both teams performed in the red zone, and because of the Giants' penalties, which basically tuned their TD drives into FG drives.

im not a big stas guy...but before we thank romo you might wanna check his passer rating for this game , compare it to the losing qb's....
this game was won with a team effort, defense early, offense later, special teams added also. and oh yeah, since i dont often give big bill credit
i think he did a good job getting his team ready, and he had the cajones
to cut our idiot kicker and bring in grammatica. so way to go to the whole
Cowboys team.

The 4th quarter our D was just killing me. At least they held only allowing 2 FG's until Plexaglass scored.

Exactly. Manning played very well today -- nothing like the guy we've seen in past weeks. And Barber, Burress, and Shockey are very tough weapons to defend. Remember how good this team looked earlier in the year?

Bottom line, they gave us their best shot while we didn't play that well, and we still won the game on the road.

This game reminded me of Romo's performance against the other Manning.

A ho-hum afternoon until the game's on the line in the fourth.

TERRIFIC post.

And to add, as much as we wanted the Cowboys to win this game, the game meant more to the Giants than it did the Cowboys.

This loss might well kill New York's playoff chances. Dallas, even in a loss, would have gone on to live another day.

And, as you said...we still won, on the road, no less.

Our defensive game plan today sucked ***...

Without a doubt, Dallas should have brought the pressure to Eli early and often. The guy was on the verge of having a breakdown, considering all the pressure as of late. Instead of attacking Eli early, Bill Parcells played a conservative defensive game, playing to prevent the deep ball. Instead of going for the kill, Dallas allowed Eli ALL DAY to throw the ball and move down the field, and retsore his confidence. Eli is a fragile quarterback who makes mistakes when he is pressured. ANd we did not play on that...

This is PRECISELY why Shockey had a big game. He was kiling us over the middle because of the cover two. It was the sole reason Tiki Barber made that 40 yard play.

This is my one problem with Parcells. The last three games we brought consistent pressure. And this game, we went back to our typical game plan. I hate this paranoia crap...

This is a game where we should have pulverized Plexico and Shockey... Instead, they were the two who scored the touchdowns... Shockey looks nervous as hell going into the game, and we let that idiot settle into a groove...

Is this some kind of joke? The defense gave up 20 points against a very good offense. Romo came through in the clutch, but he also put the team in a bad spot by throwing the interception. The offense also failed two cash in on two very good scoring opportunities: the drive ending with the first missed fg and the drive where the offense started at the 50. The defense also stopped the Giants on a fourth and one and forced the Giants to kick field goals on two drives late in the game. The defense also had to play against Eli Manning during one of his better games. If Romo and Manning played like they were playing before this game, the score would have been a blowout.

NY Giants, considering the sh*tty NFC is still well within playoff contention... A Dallas whupping on Giants could have curshed the hopes of the Giants, but that did not happen... IOnstead, we make Eli Manning look like an all-pro... We gave him time all day, because we were scared of the deep ball.. Eli had ALL DAY to throw...

Dallas needed this game just as much, if not more... We would have been 1-4 in the division...

I am going to dispute the bold... Eli Manning played one of his better games, because we allowed him to... He was on the verge of a major collapse, and we played conservative because we feared the deep ball. We rarely brought any pressure... And Eli BALKS under pressure...
