Ever since the Cowboys defense got humiliated by the Saints in Big D, the defense hasn't been the same. It's clear to me that they have lost their confidence and that's the main reason why they are struggling so much now after playing really well the first half of the season.

When A. Glenn called for the players only meeting, that was another sign that they were desperately trying to do everything possible to give the defense a boost but it failed miserably. Things won't get any better until the defense can turn it around. The good news is that they play Detroit in the last game before the playoffs and with a good performance they can begin to rebuild their confidence going into the playoffs.

I also think the conservative scheme run by Parcells and Zimmer isn't helping any. From the articles I've read on this board, the players want to be more aggressive. What is there to lose now, since the conservative approach is failing miserably?

I think we're playing agressively just getting outsmarted at every step and turn. When we blitz we're not getting there in time and bad things happen like the HUGE L.J. Smith play coming out of the half. I do absolutely agree that it seems that the dismantling of our D by the saints seems to have killed their confidence. Coming out flat, emotionless in big games vs. good teams is very very troubling. There's something not right with the coaching and or the chemistry on this team.
