Defense vs Offense

Once again, the Giants proved that a solid defense beats a solid offense on most days. While the Cowboys were drafting another offensive player in the first round-Zeke Elliott, the Giants went secondary with Eli Apple. They also bolstered their "D" with the FA signings of CB Jenoris Jenkins & DE Olivier Vernon. I will give credit to the Boys for signing DT Cedric Thorton, although he couldn't even beat out the man we already had at DT in Terrell McClain. Of course, Dallas' two best pass rushers, DEs DeMarcus Lawrence & Randy Gregory, two morons Jerry had no business drafting, are sitting out the first four games because they can't stop smoking dope. I mean, who wastes a second round pick on a player who tested positive at the Combine?!

The so-called vaunted Cowboys O-line made Vernon, who's barely had one double-digit sack season in four years, look like the second coming of Michael Strahan. He was amazingly disruptive. We can blame this loss on yet another bone-headed decision by Terrance Williams, but there is no guarantee that Bailey would have made another record setting field goal. This is about drafting five offensive players in the first round over the last seven years, & two secondary players. Not ONE D-lineman in the whole bunch. It's also about wasting second & third round picks on potheads & wounded linebackers. I'm surprised the game was as close as it was. Dak Prescott is the real deal, but he will NEVER see a Super Bowl until he has a top five defense. That means taking front 7 guys in the 1st three-four rounds, making sure that none of them is a selfish drug addict who puts himself over his teammates. Unless Jerry gets duct taped to a chair & put into a closet every year on draft week, the song remains the same.

More and more its looking like Callahan was the reason for the offensive lines success in 2014
