Defense was much better

In ways they were better but overall it was rea bad again.

9 drives including the last kneel downs. We gave up scored on 5 of those. We gave up drives of 12,14, and 15 plays. 3 drives give up of 70+ yards.

I like JPJ. I like the increased pressure, but the results are still lacking.
11 of 18 third down conversions allowed
9 of 10 in the first half
and those dropped TDs
a little better but not a lot

He might be the first HOF player inducted while he's still playing. I hope they are measuring him for his jacket today.
They were but he said the Hall wasn't nice enough for him. So they are going to demolish and rebuild with a wing dedicated solely to him with the level of luxury he is accustomed to. Louis Vitton display cases amongst other premium amenities, I hear.

If you give them credit for those 2 touchdowns they dropped that would normally be caught and remove the 2 field goals, then the final score would have been 31-13.

I think the eye test the defense was a little better but they would have still given up a 30 point game.

Agreed. I think we saw more potential this week, but going into week 7 I’m tired of talking potential. We need actual results.

There were better in some areas but just as bad in others. Pass coverage was abysmal again. GB was 9 of 10 on third downs at one point, and converted several 3rd and long plays. They got more pressure this week but it didn't matter because Love through perfect passes to open receivers, who seemed too far down the field for the time Love had to throw. They still aren't covering receivers who go to the flat and take a short dump off pass. At least 3 times I can recall, they converted 3rd downs with those passes to the flat where no one covered the receiver. Each time the passes went for more than 10 yards.

One thing I noticed last night again, the Packers secondary came up and made stops on Cowboys RBs or receivers in teh flat. The Cowboys did not, and they missed a few tackles that allowed more yards to convert those pays into first downs.

This d is poorly coached and last night it was more obvious than most. The players a slow to react, take bad angles when they do, and crummy at tackling and team corralling.
A number of times you see the back or a motion te swing out to the flat on 3rd and short, if the LBs react to that, which it’s blatantly obvious where the ball is going from my couch, they get there in time to get the stop and force a punt.
I also see them time and again take terrible angles and lack teamwork. Late in the game, one defender had two teammates helping to the inside and coming, if he cuts off the outside, his teammates make the tackle, forces a punt. We also see bad angles and poor tackling when the DO get pressure on the QB. The qb easily sidesteps them and makes the throw.
Findamental stuff is largely what is keeping this defense from being at least mediocre and giving the team a chance to win games

They weren't good, but at least they were more aggressive instead of sitting back and letting teams go on 10 minute drives, but the Packers dropped at least 5 passes a few for long TDs as well.

They still lose contain and can't cover the flats.

They started out fast and furious, but the lack of a pass rush and being terrible in coverage kept them on the field way too long. They are unable to get a 3rd down stop.

The offense flat out blew. They are quickly unraveling.

Green Bay had 109 yards passing on one drive. I don't think people understand how inept you have to be defensively to allow that.

This game was Exhibit A of how little run defense actually matters to winning NFL games, and the front office is obsessed with it.

Not really, it just looked better because they came out a little more aggressive.

Dallas got the INT but the first and third drive were both more than a dozen plays and ate half the clock.

I mean I guess...good job letting them go 90 yards in 8 minutes instead of 10?

They forced some punts and got an int, heck of a lot better than anything we saw the rest of the season.

Am I missing something?

This game was all about the offense failing.
they played the 21st ranked offense. and worst rushing team in the league. that's with quite a few teams only having played 5 games. they converted 11 of 18 3rd downs...that's 62%...

in the first half they scored 17, controlled the clock, converted 9 of 10 3rd downs.

They were much improved, but what the hell were you watching? First couple of drives were 90 yard drives that ended in scores... Yes, this time the offense gets a lot of blame, but it still was a team loss. I mean, CD land slips down, turns into an interception that's unavoidable, but yet he should have the right cleats on and the right footing to not slip. It wasn't raining. I heard he planted off the wrong foot but I wasn't watching. But the people upstairs. Said they look like for a quick slant he planted off the wrong leg, and maybe he's protecting his quad. But you're right, the offense finally, you could say they get most of the blame, but the defense gave up a bunch of 90 yard. Drives and drives that ended in scores regardless. Of what the offense did, they still weren't perfect, but yes, I saw improvements. You're right. But they still weren't good. I would have them rank 20th right now like. In the way they played, it was a solid game from the defense for the first time in about 20 games.

But you are missing the fact that they. We're boat racing some of our corners up and down the field with easy completions, so let's not let them off the hook. But in between, they definitely had some good moments...

I am awed how your posts show so little knowledge of football

They made a few plays, forced a turnover for a TD, and the player responsible for that is now hurt, lol. I won't get too excited about limiting a run game that GB doesn't have
