I started doing QBR analysis between Dak and Russ and I stopped because Russ numbers are so ridiculously good. I didn't realize how elite he has become. Week ago I thought this was Dallas game because they were home but Russell Wilson numbers actually get better on road (gaudy 115 QBR on road).
Which makes me think that Seattle was losing earlier in year on road because of their defense. Dallas can't out-slug Wilson so they can forget that idea. With Seattle going to extreme 8-9 boxes to stop Zeke I have come to conclusion this game will require NO style effort by defense to advance.

Defense has carried them almost all season. They have to have the defense playing legit to have a chance at making any noise.

9 mam boxes....with only 2 db to cover our 3-4 wr plays, i'll take that. You know Cooper, Gallup, Beasley, Jarwin have to be accounted for. Go ahead and ignore Dak in the passing game Seattle. You'll regret that decision.

Why can't Dallas outslug Wilson? Dak has better recievers and now a reliable TE who is making huge progress.

I've been saying this week the defense needs to show up if we're gonna win. In 2009 our scoring defense was pretty consistent, but we got slammed by the Vikings in the playoffs, which shocked the hell out of me.

Regular season is the preparation for the real season, which is the playoffs. Can the defense play like they did against the Saints?

If everyone would like to know how to make this game easier for us? It's this simple.

FIELD POSITION!

He doesn't throw it for many yards but he has 35 TD passes and only 7 INTS. He threw for less than 200 yards in 7 games. This is why I laugh at people who rip Dak for not throwing for 300 yards. Wilson only has one 300 yard game this year.

Our DBs need to stick to their guys when Russ gets out the pocket or he'll burn them.

Oh, and add Tavon Austin to that speedy wr mix too.

Good points. Seattle's passing offense is ranked 27th in the league in yardage, so I'd be floored if this is an aerial assault against our defense. Wasn't it last year when Wilson beat us with 90 yards passing?

But his fingerprints will undoubtedly be on the game. It'll be their ground game fueling the engine, until he wheels out for an amazing play or kills us with a deep shot.

That's why we win this game.

Our defensive line is much better than their offensive line.

It's not likely Wilson is going to put up 115 QBR on the Dallas defense.

You are also probably making a false comparison, pre-Amari Cooper.

I've watched 5 Seattle games past few days. Most of his passes are short dump offs then a deep pass to Lockett for a TD. Wilson has a great touch with the deep ball.

I am just hoping the Seahawks are reading their legion of supporters in the media.

We play with a chip on our shoulders.

As a group this team plays together well and brings their lunch pales to work.

I am really not that concerned.

Dallas should remember 2016 and it's failures..

should remember 2017 and it's failures.

It's their time to erase some bad memories.

I thought you posted it is on Dak?

Defense has to do their part but Dallas offense also must step up and make plays. As for Wilson he is a good QB who is not asked to throw the ball much, hell he has the fewest passes thrown. Seahawks rely on a run game and will use the long ball off it. Wilson has taken a lot of sacks 51 to be exact does that mean those sacks are on him in that he holds the ball to long? He has 10 fumbles as well. Wilson again is good but I would rather face him and a guy like Rodgers. If Dallas can shut down the Seahawks run and force them into 2nd and long, 3rd and long and put the ball in Wilson hand as a passer then I like our chances. Seahawks are not a great passing team, they are a team who uses the run to setup their passing

That's not what 9 in the box means.

Seahawks defense is middle of the pack and not very good against the run. They do have Wagner now but no ET which is huge. We could have easily won the first game with our offense if it weren’t for a few stupid plays. Zeke stepped out of bounds on a long TD with no one around him, he dropped a critical pass and fumbled the ball in the 4th. Dak also threw 2 picks.

Seattle has a losing record and sucks on rhe road, we play great at home. Our offense can very well win this game for us, it doesn’t “have” to be the defense. Oh, and we also have some guy named Cooper now.

Wilson only averages 215 yards per game passing. Out-Slugging Wilson would actually not be an issue. Stopping the Seahawks run game will be the issue and if our defense cant stop their run game then we are in trouble.

I tend to believe the key to this game is simply putting a lot of points on the board. Seattle makes close to zero mental mistakes, so it will be difficult
