We’ve seen this script before. One which has been written time and time again. Great QB’s and offenses can get you there but defenses ultimately are or can be the deciding factor.

And when pitting great defenses against great offenses and or QB’s guess who wins most of the time.

Mahomes considered the greatest QB currently in NFL was stifled again in the Super Bowl much like he was against Tampa 4 years ago 31-9.

Disrupt the line of scrimmage and cause havoc is the ingredient to stop or limit great QB’s . We saw it happen in both Super Bowls the Giants stifled the Patriots and Brady in.

Mahomes never had a chance . Wasn’t even close. Worst and least competitive Super Bowl in recent memory albeit their last loss in the big game.

.....as for Mahomes in the losses......you're spot on as an OL's play can make a great/good QB look bad.....very bad. In both Chief's SB losses, the KC OL played poorly, TB due to injuries and last night due to being over-matched by a good DL.
Last night, outside of Mahomes running for his life, the Chiefs only rushed 7 times with a lot of 3 & outs courtesy of 7-man coverages, thus KC D on the field quite a bit.
And for whatever reason, we never saw an Eagle D this dominate all year, with 2 rookies in the secondary. But last night, and on any given Sunday.....if your OL is shaky, over-matched, inconsistent, or undisciplined......you be in trouble for the most part. Last night could have easily been Josh Allen, Joe Burrows, or Lamar Jackson.

Memo to Jerry, FO, scout department, player evaluators........get some dawgs on D that do more than talking and getting punk'd, and quit expecting Cee Dee to be a sole weapon on the offense instead of preferring to hoist the blame/hate on just the QB. Barkley with a 2.7 yds per carry average last night is a SB champ, and Hurts, who most questioned, is a SB MVP.

Thanks Mr. Lurie, Howie Roseman and Eagles for showing Jerry and our base how it's done and how to recover from an underachieving last season without finger pointing (be careful AJ Brown) and repeating the same mess.

The KC offense has been bad all year and they got by on their defense being an elite unit

But the eagles forced turnovers and kept kc defense on the field and kept giving the ball to Barkley which opened up the passing game

But that defense last night was probably some of the best d I’ve seen in a while

While being 100% accurate, none of this information will penetrate Jerry Jones' thick skull. He'll scoff at all of it. Hogwash ! Humbug ! It's my team and I'll do whatever I want with it !

In retrospect Jerry would have garnered more respect in hiring Belicik instead of BS. At least we know that the defense would be addressed with dawgs instead of Mazi Smiths

YOU ALL THINK MICAH PARSONS IS GREAT? He's not great, Sweat is great (no he's not for real), that guy dominated that game, couldn't see Micah having that affect on a game like that! I couldn't see many people collectively having an impact like that like they did, one guy would make a nice play once every few series!

Spot on, but it won't matter here. Cowboys have one piece of a great DEF in Parsons and they don't know how to build a scheme around him.

I have been back and forth on which side of the ball we need to draft but this much is clear, if we can't get the opponent off the field then it won't matter how many yards our offense puts down on paper. DEFENSE!
