Since Week 9 of last season through Week 2, the Cowboys defense is giving up 26.1 points / game and would ranked 31st in the NFL

And my fellow fans still believe this is a playoff team....... nope.

Now add in that this team can not run the ball ( yet alone stop the run) and team just have to double Lamb and the offense will struggle.

Ferguson could help but honestly I think if we cannot get some kind of running game going we are in deep doo doo

The time for fundamental changes was in the off-season. That time has passed. I honestly can't think of any RB or DT talent on the market that we could add to this roster. We can only tweak things while hoping our rookies mature faster than usual. That will only save the season from a total embarrassment scenario, but the notion we make a deep playoff run isn't realistic. Hell, we might not make the playoffs.

Don’t give up so easily. There’s 15 games left and the Cowboys are one of the youngest teams in the NFL. Don’t let the haters influence you. They have nothing but hate in them.

Jesus Rock -

Stop with the hate labeling.

We’re all Cowboy fans on this board.

Some are more adamant than others and convey it in their own way.

Don’t take it so personal.

And besides, it’s not good for the ticker.

Double Lamb and put your best CB on Cooks. The Belichick way.

Someone needs to hold the haters accountable. They certainly don’t do it themselves. And you’re one of them as you’re always negative.

That’s too much work.

Everyone has a say.

Right or wrong.

Positive or negative.

Just go with it.

Going into the offseason it was painfully obvious what our weaknesses were and that there were too many holes to properly address in the draft, We spent practically nothing on our defensive interior and running back positions and in our 2nd game we got road graded for 190 yards rushing while we couldn't do move the ball. In week 1 the Browns consistently got behind the chains and our edge rushers could take over. That weakness we all saw is now exposed and it feels like there is naught we can do about it.

I agree but my guess is the teams tried to do this last season but still couldn't stop him. I think Lamb is still getting his feet under him from missing training camp. We will see......

Im more concerned how Zimmer reacts. This is about the coaching, not the players. Maybe we hit the Saints while they are hot, maybe its a trend and we can only beat bad teams or good teams at bad times. Its football. Its going to come down how McCarthy handles the team. This is more of a referendem on him and not the team. Get your coaches whipped into shape or just quit.

Bingo, you can’t start doing your homework when get in class right before the teacher walks in, now this team is scrambling when they should have participated in FA to patch the holes on your team. Ever since Carr, these guys are hellbent on not doing anything till last week of FA, then the hey come out and start talking about how good we are and what to expect.

You actually think you're holding people accountable. On a message board. On the internet. By typing things at them.

You. Are. Adorable.

Aren't you the sweetie, Son....that is nothing more than scarcasm that thinks it is him being the ratio of tough.

Look, what has been missing since Jimmy Johnson and then Barry Switzer was a coach who knew how to defeat the team in front of him, heads up.

NOT another rooting fan.
