Balls hit was clean as you can be with perfect technique. Ok,if you want to call that then why wasn't Landry's hit on Robinson flagged? In fact the WR was extended and totally defenseless?

I couldn't agree more. If your going to call a pentaly on Ball they there should have been on on the Robinson hit.

I was hollering about that like you just not believe! That was total garbage! The Commanders got away with so many penalties. Ware was tackled about four times, yet did Washington ever get a holding call? NO!

im pretty sure-by the letter of the law, that is the correct call...now the rule is absolutely ********..but the refs got it correct

Its the stupidest, most subjective penalty I've ever heard of. Launching, spearing, helmet to helmet- fine. But this rule is a joke.

Apparently, the refs thought a helmet was involved somewhere in there.

They were wrong.

I don't agree. IMO he planted and turned to run right when he got hit. IMO instead of being a penalty it is what football is supposed to be all about. By the letter of the law IMO it was a bad call.

The blown holding calls were worse in my opinion.

Rules are rules. You have to play by them and take the penalties as they come. I'm not even sure that the rule would warrant a flag on ball.....it look really clean to me.

I can deal with stupid rules. So long as they are called on equal terms.

That's the point where the refs failed tonight. They didn't call this game on equal terms. If Ball's hit is a penalty, so is Landry's.

Just be consistent one way or the other.

I thought there should have been a flag on the Robinson hit.

He made one of the better tackles of his career right there and gets called on a penalty.
No complaints though, he unloaded on Hightower. Ball came up big on that hightower stop in the 4th.

Yep. That was nice.

Totally forgot the TACKLE on Ware but no call at all!

What are the refs doing? They should be fined!

According to Mike Pereira, a shoulder, forearm or helmet to the head or neck area of a defenseless player is a foul.

Landry put his helmet into Robinson's chin, so I'm not sure why that wasn't called.

This isn't the first time Ball has gotten called on a ticky tack hit like that either and Jenkins was the victim of several such calls last year.

I'd love to know why they always get these calls wrong with the Cowboys.
