that worked last season.

They've bottled us up, and we haven't had an answer for anything.

Cole was one of the more valuable receivers in the entire league last season. He ranked highly on Football Outsiders and PFF.

Outside of goal line TD, he's done nothing this season. Defenses have totally taken him away

How many third down catches does he have? Compare it to last season. It won't be pretty

• Jason Witten was a third down monster last season. Also a big catch guy last season. He hasn't done anything since the 49ers game. Some of it maybe age but some is defenses have taken him away and we haven't had an answer

• Those two not being as impactful are the reasons Dak hasn't been as successful. They were his two most reliable guys who ran the most high percentage routes.

• Zeke averaged 5.1 a carry last season, he's averaging 4.2 a carry this season

• The Cowboys actually were successful with the deep ball last season(20-30 yard variety). Trying to hook up with Dez has been atrocious and Williams hasn't been given enough opportunities.

The offensive line regressed. They were absolutely amazing last year. This year still good but not over the top. Beasley, yes I will just have to take peoples word he’s being taken away by defenses, but it’s very noticeable. This offense just moved the chains and ate up game clock. The defense was not put in as many positions to fail last year.

The decline of the offensive line is very noticeable.
Dak has been under pressure all season. Now to be fair the Giants and Vikings played us this way last year and it hurt us also.
I don't know if its defenses scheming and we can't adjust or if its really a decline in guys along the line.
I am leaning a little towards scheme because I don't want to think guys like Frederick, Martin, and Smith in just 1 offseason have suddenly regressed.

Think about how the Vikings and Giants shut us down last year. This is what it seems we face week after week.
Not enough coaching adjustments to punish teams from doing this. Notice how the eagles trapped David Irving and gashed us for long runs? This is what a good coach does when they realize they are playing a DT who keeps shooting the gaps into the backfield.

I read somewhere where Zach Martin, Frederick and Tyron were on the line the year we went 4-12 and our O couldn't do crap then too.

Must mean our offensive scheme is too QB dependent. It goes the way of our QB. Thankfully Zeke is so great that he can take the pressure off of any QB.

Wentz and Goff are great, but yet their OCs also scheme around them so that there are always guys open for a sizeable gain. And very few D's scheme so passively against them like Marinelli does.

In any event either the playcalling or Dak needs to step up. Preferably both.

Injuries and suspensions have hurt as much as not having a real HC. The OL has not played well as a group. Prescott hasn't had enough time and is still learning the pro game. Lets hope that Garrett and friends don't cause him to regress and lose what he came to the Cowboys with. The defense played well enough when the game was still competitive. It's not a defense that will go to a SB.

I love me some Witten, but not having a true threat at TE is hurting us more than most think. Witten basically runs his option route and that's it. He wasn't fast last year, but it really seems he's at the end of his career this year.

Would have loved to see what Rico could add this year, but he obviously wasn't ready, so we stashed him on IR. If his "concussion" on that type of play really put him out for the year, then he needs to hang it up today and not risk his health, because he's not ready for the NFL and what it does to your body.

as nick eatman said on the break today there is not a player on this offense that scares any one now and they laugh at the defense

We are an basic, simple offense that has to execute and be unstoppable in what we do. With a few studs out, its easy to stop. And certainly the coaches cant adjust. Bad Oline play and its all done with.

Other than Zeke and the O Line, I dont think anybody on offense causes opposing D coordinators sleepless nights.

What is worse is the coaches don't even try anything new with the personnel.

Why not give Butler or Brown some of Witten or Beasley's reps to get some additional speed on the field?

Cole and Wiiten basically run 2 or maybe 3 routes at most.
