We all agree that defense will carry this team, and that Parsons is the catalyst, but teams will focus on running to negate our pass rush. Since DT is not a strength, how do you think we should/could play it?

who’s the best combo inside? Should we slide Lawrence inside and man the edge with Parsons, Williams, Fowler and Armstrong!? I know Quinn likes to rotate guys to keep ‘em fresh, but which two are the most effective run stuffers? If you were the DC, how would you run it?

There is only a few teams that really run the football. The Cowboys defense is fine vs the run. Don’t let the Tampa game fool you, the offense needs to step up and stop with three and outs. Our defense was worn out in the second half of both games.

Bohanna and Gallimore inside with Tank and Armstrong outside on downs 1&2. Micah at a LB position. Micah's position depends on the team they play against.
Osa and Hill rotating with Bo and Galli depending on team.

Down 3 and long-- Micah, Lawrence, Fowler, Williams all coming

LB is the big issue with run game as long as your front 4 are solid. I am not sure Dallas has the LB's to be truly elite outside of Parsons.

The package where we slowly slide d law out the game after he makes his ONE great run stop, is the best package for us!!!

Stopping Barkley will be a test too

Stop Barkley and keep Jones from running. Keep him in the pocket and make him throw. Get pressure and we will get some picks. Create short fields for the offense.
Then run the ball effectively.

Quinn will move Micah around accordingly to take advantage of the NY weakness on offense.

Which LBs do you think are best against the run? Besides Parsons, who do we have? Barr, LVE, Gifford? Isn’t Cox still injured?

Barr probably. LVE just isn't a MLB that can stack and shed as well as shoot gaps.
Gifford is to slow, IMO. Cox is a good cover guy, but not great against the run.
Parsons has the ability to play any of the LB positions, but he needs to be accounted for anywhere and he needs to line up everywhere.

So, IMO, Dallas needs a MLB badly, but since they don't have one, Barr will have to do in a pinch with LVE playing WLB at times during running downs.

here is my defensive adjustment 4 the Giants. STOP the run using our front 4. Force Jones to throw. Shorten the field, WE WIN.

32 and 33 rushes for NYG the first two games - with Barkley getting 18 and 21 carries, respectively.
Expect the same Monday night - Giants will get him a good number of times to tote the pigskin...counting on him breaking one for a TD (poor tackling by the Cowboys).

Watch the left side of the defense. Barkley is very good at bouncing outside.
