Kacy Rodgers, defensive line
Paul Pasqualoni, linebackers
Mike MacIntyre, safeties
Vincent Brown, inside linebackers

What do these defensive assistant coaches have in common?

They all had zero prior coaching experience in the NFL before coming to the Cowboys. Brown did at least play in the NFL for the Pats for 8 years. If they would have come into the league and worked for a firestorm coach like Jimmy Johnson as Dave Wanny and company did that would be one thing.

Unfortunately our 'bend but don't break' - 'don't give up the long ball' - 'read and react' or whatever you want to call our defensive scheme the last few years has failed yet again under a bunch of coaches who have never coached in this league before. In a different place and time without BP calling all the shots things might have turned out differently. It's obvious this experiment didn't work and now changes need to be made.

We need to bring in some coaches (including a DC) who have a track record of producing. We don't need to see history repeating itself again. We have too much talent to waste away more years. If BP doesn't like it, he needs to step down. Hopefully JJ has seen the light. I wish I were optimistic but the rose colored glasses don't work much any more.

so you want us to take the Danny approach to coaches?

let's see, we'll hire Rex Ryan to coach the D
Jim Bates to coach the DBs
Dick LaBeau to coach the LBs
and Dave Wannstedt to coach the line
