Isn’t Rex employed by ESPN for like $5+ million per year? Does Jerry pay that kind of money for coordinators?

Not sure about Rex’s contract but they have paid dc’s high contracts in the past

Ryan is around $5.5 million per year at ESPN

This is the only way I am OK with this hire.

If they can land a Saleh type on defense and a LaFluer on offense I would be ok with Scotty.

They CANNOT bring in Rex Ryan as DC.

I’m not entirely against him, but the way to do that would be Ryan as HC/DC and tell him he has to take on Schottenheimer as OC so Dak remains coddled.

Not that I’m advocating for this, but the other way around wouldn’t work.

If Schotty is hired here are a few candidates to look for. This is a super important hire IMO. Side note- Solari was the Oline coach for him while in Seattle….

Ken Norton- LB’s coach Wash (Was DC in Seattle with Schotty at OC).
Gus Bradley- Fired by the Colts recently
Rex Ryan- No introduction needed
Mike Zimmer- Broaddus said he won’t come here if Schotty is hired.
Kris Richard- Hell no
Brandon Staley- Current Asst HC 49ers
Wink Martindale- DC Michigan

That’s all I could come with.

Who’s your pick or any other ideas?

Keep Staley away from Dallas far as possible..

The fact that Saleh is going back to the 49ers and Staley will be out of a job tells you all you need to know….

I believe Saleh only comes here as head coach. If he's gonna be a DC san fran is where he will go IMO
