Are there any good DC available? I think it's a forgone conclusion that JG will be our HC next season. So who are some candidates for DC because I'm not a fan of Paul P. Also I was wondering what you guy think of switching to 4-3 next year?

Marvin Lewis or Mike Nolan. If they can convince Dom Capers to leave GB then he'd be at the top of the list too.

I would like Keith Butler, the Steelers LB coach, but he's being groomed to take over for LeBeau

Will Mike Nolan leave Miami after one season? Honestly, if we can get him here that would be great.

I know people don't like Paul P, but his defense has come up with a bunch of turnovers and it's not like they were playing the Dellview Demons the last few weeks. Would it be crazy to give him an entire training camp with these misfits?

I'd like to give a young, tough, energetic guy a shot--and a switch to the 4/3 would not be feasible with our personnel--I would just like to see more imagination and variety in our 3/4

If this team continues to win the rest of the year, I have no doubt JJ retains PP as DC.

I disagree. One draft where we draft a stud tackle and we have our 4-3 personnel. Ratliff would have much of the heavy load lifted off of him with someone next to him. Hatcher and Bowen and Spears can rotate. Ware / Spencer / and Butler on the end. James / Lee / Free agent or draft LB here / Brooking to rotate in on fresh legs and teach.

Yea it would be crazy. That souls out of the question. He should not be retained for defensive coordinator. Not if you know you can get somebody better.

I think the Cowboys should take a close look at Todd Grantham. The man did wonders for our defensive front when he was hear. He has NFL HC and DC experience and is currently coaching at the college level so they could just snatch him up.

Who ever Garrett wants if that is Paul P then great but I don't expect Garrett to go after a DC he has no past history with.

History says he isn't the best DC in the game. His defenses have never been solid. He is just filling in because it was an in season change.

not that simple--I don't think our ends are right for a 4/3 but I would like to see Ratliff with a little more space

Dallas should target John Fox

Nolan would be an outstanding choice - but I doubt he's going to be free -- he's exactly what we need -- a former HC who isn't a threat to Garrett

I expect the DC to be a guy with a ton of experience, possibly some as a HC.

Another possibility is Greg Manusky - he, of course, has Wade links and is likely under contract with the 49ers - but it is like that the 49er staff is going to get axed.

I think there are quite a few good candidates out there but the main criteria I want is the next DC or the remaining DC is because that is who Garrett wants as part of his staff. To me that is more important than any name

Everyone says that but i am not sure i agree with that

Heck are DE are all FA starting this next year Ware can play DE as could spencer we have rat at one NT price and we add a gy to plug the hole

it is not like the LB core back there is something great

i think it can be done because we have a few hybrid guys heck as it is we need ore ILB and a dt and move rat to de
