I've listened to countless talk show hosts, analysts, former players, current players, coaches, fans of the team ,and also Cowboys haters. I've read, watched, and listened to them all say the same thing since the end of last year. I even shared beliefs in a lot of the same conversation.

What is it??? That this defense will be worse than last years defense.

That awaits to be seen and we will have to wait and hope for the best. Buttttt,,, here is what I am soooooooooo sick and tired of hearing. How will we be any better since we will be without Ware, Lee, and Hatcher? And in fact we will give up more points, more yards, and have no defensive leadership since they are gone.

Listen to this and take it for what it's worth...We were horrible with Ware. We had zero pressure on other offenses with him and Hatcher on the field..We couldn't stop anyone and allowed a historically crazy amount of yards last year. And that was with Ware, Hatcher, and guess who else??? Glassman Lee...Sean is the perfect example of someone who you can't count on when the going gets tough. You never know if he would be there with you in the fight, or disappear when needed most. We haven't had defensive leadership in years, and if we did, it wasn't good enough!!!

I have no idea what this defense is going to be like, or how we are going to stop anyone. But I'm going to say this. We weren't going to do it with those guys either. As far as I'm concerned, Lee can coach or go to Denver also...

Like it or not, this defense needed to be uprooted and replanted...

I love the doubt this team is getting. They need a chip on their shoulders and they should have plenty of that now. Y'all know that I am at the top of the "realist" list. Possibly on the board of that club lol. But it's time to play football and see what our favorite team, "The Dallas Freekin Cowboys" are like on the field...all this talk is just a bunch of hot air!!!!!

Well said. People forget that last years defense was bad with all those guys.

Hatcher had a tremendous season for a DT in a 4-3. So to say he did not add to the pass rush is ridiculous. Ware was a shell of himself last year so it is reasonable to think we get more production from that spot. This D will be better stat wise if we keep them on the sideline and run the d@mn ball.

Yes, Hatch had a great year as a pass rusher but he was inconsistent versus the run. This team could use his talent but he was not a difference maker.

As for D-Ware, nobody questions his contributions in the past but his best days are just that -- in the past.

This D will be better or worse based on depth across the board and not because of past/present superstars.

Oh it's going to be bad. All reports and the San Diego game seem to elude to that pesky little factoid.

However, we can hope they get better as the season progresses and they're not too far in the hole prior to that happening.

I still have zero faith Mo makes a complete season, Carr has never impressed me and the safety position has been absent since we all know when.

Carter is a straight up doofus, IMO. We have almost nothing resembling a LBer after that.

yep.... this defense needed uprooted and replanted fo sho. BUT you don't do that with the some of the dudes they have on the defensive side of the ball starting with Lee and the above mentioned. Throw wasted years away on Johnson in there as well.

Forget about Marinelli...............someone should check Jesus' schedule for availability.

Ware will be a force in Denver.

He wasn't healthy here for almost two years. Those who suggest he has lost something will be amazed.

If Romo cannot/could not do it by himself, why would people think Ware could on defense?

As far as what this team will bring on defense, without a pass rush there will be no pass defense. I say this quite a lot. It is the truth.

No pass defense, get your hands on all the Dallas players in fantasy football, because the Dallas defense will have the ball a lot. Directly in relationship to the ease the other team will score in the4 passing game.

Always understand that the media is a collective band of tattletales, and that it takes much less effort and generates more attention when they are critical of everything.

Because Romo has been amazingly good, while Ware has been worse than George Selvie.

Ware's body can't handle all the PEDs, and he breaks down trying to carry muscle his frame can't support. He'll break down again as always. He's done.

Let's wait and see.

This is the best approach.

Part of me would love to see him have success in Denver but the other part of me cringes at the thought of him being a shell of his former self. Last year was not a good year for him and I hope he is not allowing his pride to blind him to the fact that he may be done.

As great as Bruce Smith was, it was painful to watch him get manhandled by scrubs in his last year of football.

Yet in the same breath you'll claim Romo has five more years.

I agree that talk is hot air, so here is some hot air.I believe that we let go of DeMarcus Ware to early.I think he is going to have a good year. This team can have the biggest chip they want to carry on there shoulder, they don't have very much talent on that defense.I agree that the defense wasn't very good with those 3 players, but there even less talented now.So it's understandable that people think that way about them this season.

Well, Romo's still on the team.

Give it time.
