I want to start off saying kudos to our defense, they are coming together faster than I thought they would. I do have some concerns, the injuries are mounting up, specifically the secondary. Butler was released but I am expecting him to be picked back up soon.
Realistically, how many injuries (secondary) away are we from getting concerned? Will it take only one more or two to knock our defense from the top to below average? I am very thankful Jenkins was not traded, he will be key to the rest of the season.
What if Mo or Carr go down for a few games, are we going to be royally screwed? The way I see it is if we somehow make the playoffs, it will be only because of the defense. If we can stay around giving up 16 points a game, then we could be ok, but if that number drops to 24 a game, I don't see the offense being stable enough to win us many games.
Just concerned here because we are becoming thin in the secondary and we need them to stay healthy to have a chance.
