Last year we had 11 players on the defensive line make it on the 53 man roster.

6 defensive ends and 5 defensive tackles.

If we have the same setup this year, who makes the team? Hardy will not count against the total until he is eligible.

I think Jack Crawford drops off the roster when Hardy returns, unless he transforms himself from last year.

J. Crawford played his best game as a DT.

Also several of the DE's could be moved inside on passing downs:

Mincey
Gregory
Gardner

And even Hardy when he is allowed to play.

And that's why I don't think there is as big a need at DT as what some suggest.

I see you left off Coleman and the kid from Texas, who was on IR for all season.

It goes to show how bad our DL was last year when we sign a Pro Bowl DE, and draft 2 more and Gardner and Jack Crawford may still make the roster

I think this will be a make or break year for Brent. I hope he has put a lot of offseason work in. He really needs to step up with a full season of focus on his craft he has a lot to prove.

I would support a trade for Brockers, I think he would round out an excellent defensive line.

I didn't forget anyone, I merely made a breakdown based on likelihood to make the roster with the slots likely available.

Are you cutting a different player? Are you going 12 deep at defensive line? What are your plans to add Whaley? Not sure 12 is realistic.

I thought it was a full list of all the DE's and DT's we currently have on the roster. As for who he might replace, I'd like to see us be able to improve over Hayden, but he seems to have a strong foothold on this team.
