I can remember seeing a Seahawks game in 2012 and saying to myself, "Wait, what is going on here? These guys look incredibly intimidating on defense…is that really the Seahawks?"

The ‘hawks were wearing all dark uniforms—top and bottom and they were dominating the other team. They had amassed enough players to go past that tipping point we all love to think about. They had become a force. And they also had created new uniforms for the occasion. Very dark, top to bottom. It looked awesome.

Dallas should follow suit. With DeMarcus Lawrence entering his second year and Greg Hardy on board to go with Tyrone Crawford, the defensive line will look substantially more dominant. And Nick Hayden will lose his starting job at the one technique spot this summer as well, one way or another. Davon Coleman has a much higher ceiling than Hayden and I believe he will come on strong this year in camp. And there is a very real possibility that Dallas adds another DT in the draft. So the Cowboys are going to be very stout and very disruptive up front this fall.

At linebacker, things are looking very solid as well. At safety, J.J. Wilcox is into his third year. Recall that Wilcox didn’t even start playing safety at the college level until his senior year, so this year looks to be a very big leap year for him. He came on strong at the end of 2014. In the first seven games, he averaged 3.8 combined tackles with no interceptions. In the last nine, he averaged 5.2 tackles a game and had three interceptions.

There is a distinct chance that Wilcox is about to pay off in a very big way for Dallas.

Nah I get it. It's not about being intimidated by clothes it's about projecting an image to the opponent, to future opponents and to fans.
If it were just about clothes everyone would wear similar stuff. You gotta have fun with it.
I love the idea of switching it up a bit.

Well I've been for switching to dark blue pants forever...and permanently using them. They would look so much better than the current seafoam green ones.

I can't imagine an NFL player being intimidated by a uniform. Any player who's scared of clothing needs to find another job.

I agree with you, but I do believe colors can give you a psychological edge. Maybe not making your opponent fear you, but it could do something for your psyche. I remember when I was in high school, I always thought red track shoes made me run faster. Whether they did or not, I don't know. But the "thought" that they could made a big difference in my mentality.
If the Cowboys believe dark uniforms give them that "menacing" look and gives them some sort of psychological edge, that can only help.

what is the point of having a thread about changing uniforms....without a pic of what those uniforms would look like?

Agreed. There have been plenty of photoshops of our unis with navy pants in other uniform threads, and they looked awesome.
