It isn't mentioned in that article, but somewhere else I read that his nickname is "Yams" because of the size/shape of his legs. If we decide to go DL in the first round either he or Devon Still would make nice additions to the team.

little short to be a 3-4 DE. I like 34 DE to be atleast 6-4. I remember Parcells said that you want tall long armed 3-4 DE. You want them to be able to reach out and with their long arms and pull down a RB or get the hands in front of balls.
Thompson is a good DT, good strength but I think he is more of a 4-3 DT. Put a few more pounds on him and he could be a NT.
