Defensive Tackle: Position of strength?

Its the strength of the Dline because the rest is so weak. But a strength of the team? I would call it solid. And the depth is unproven or injury prone. Crawford a disappointment thus far. I dont see any pro bowl types there. They can prove me wrong if Crawford stays healthy and breaks out and if Thornton is a stud.

If they can stay healthy, I think the position can be much improved. Granted, given the Nick Hayden effect last year, the limbo bar is set pretty low. A lot of 'if's' involved, but if they come to fruition, I think the position and its depth can be a team strength.

I do agree with you that Crawford has been a disappointment to date, given that new contract. Hopefully, injuries are behind him and he's the force inside that this team is relying on and paying him to be.

I believe that it can. But lots of ifs. Crawford and the the 3rd round pick has to pan out.

Why does Crawford get so much crap? He was like 7th in the league in sacks for a DT, solid in run defense, had nothing around him, and was playing hurt. Is he Atkins/Short, no is he a good player yes
