Yes, back to buying at yard sales again.

i wont lie its crazy and i REALLY hope not but they could be thinking position flex with Chido
it just sounds like what theyve done in the past with linebackers, tackles etc
Yeah once Rod is gone. Maybe they throw 6 to 8 draft picks and FA signings at DT and S next year.
Sign Earl Thomas. Draft Christian Wilkins or another 1st round DT. Draft another mid round DT, 3rd or 4th round. That defense would be great!
I see DT being treated next offseason how CB was treated last offseason, and WR was treated this offseason.
Even average(Below average?) but viable S's like Sensebaugh and KHamlin made our D much better.Brutal. Lol. I like it. It does seem like we see problems years ahead of this staff. Safety has been a need for a decade.
Yeah, except last time that happened, we traded up for a CB.Next draft class is expected to be all time great on the DLine. This should be the last year of DLine woes.
I think back then he worked with what they gave him at line coach and kiffen likes the big nasty in the middle. As most teams do. Guessing that is where him and kiffen disagreed. But if I watch our CB playing 10 yards off the WR again this year I will pull my hair out and take hOstages. I am sick of seeing opposing teams having a 3rd and 12 and it being a manageable down for them. Our Defense looks great on 1st and 2nd down only to give up a big 3rd down play.
And Lewis and Awuzie are best as man corners. That dude we picked up as a UFA is a press corner, what's his name? Kam Kelly, that's it!!! I don't know if he has NFL talent, but he's a press corner/S type.I don't think you'll have to worry. That's Kris Richard's territory now.
I hope so. They go overboard each years addressing specific position groups. It is time for S and DT.
I disagree with that method. As I still think they waste picks that way.

Problem is, press schemes basically need upfront disruption. Not sure we have that w/ any consistency. And from what the corners and Richard have said, early disruption of receivers routes is a key part of his scheme.

They will win too many games to have a shot at the blue chip DEsNext draft class is expected to be all time great on the DLine. This should be the last year of DLine woes.

Good point. Good disruption, but not enough LOS domination. If anything, I think we have too much disruption up front. Affecting both our opponents and us. I think teams know that this scheme sells out for pass rush and they use it against us. The Eagles showed the textbook blueprint in using the trap game to gash this team with their run.
Personally, I feel good about the pass rush and pass defense going into the 2018 season. It's being responsible and holding up against the run that concerns me.

Good. I see he has them playing up and being physical at the line. Should go hand in hand with our D-Line. If we can bring pressure our whole Defense should look better. Just stop the run!!I don't think you'll have to worry. That's Kris Richard's territory now.
Gives us flexibility I guess. And Lewis and Awuzie are best as man corners. That dude we picked up as a UFA is a press corner, what's his name? Kam Kelly, that's it!!! I don't know if he has NFL talent, but he's a press corner/S type.
Don’t know why that is so hard for Marinelli to see. Get a nasty big man in the middle. Take some pressure off Lee. He depends on his LB more. And that's why I have and continue to feel that this team needs that one big, dominant presence inside. The guy that tells opposing teams "you're not running here" and dictates something to them.
Too much of the thinking around the Cowboys involves "bend but don't break" and "take what thedefense gives you" mindsets on either side of the ball.
Time to start dictating some of that, rather than having it dictated to you.
