I've seen so many posters on here talk about how some players are "leaders" in the locker room.

Players like Crawford, Lee and once again, Witten are all given a pass because they are considered leaders.

But what does being a leader actually mean? And what value does it produce to our win loss record?

Last year, we were 3-4 heading into week 9. Thanks to a player like Amari Cooper, the season turned around.

Where were our leaders last year to help save the season?

This fanbase overvalues "leadership" greatly.

I care about results and production.

Talent outweighs leadership on the field as long as the player is a good teammate and stays out of trouble off the field.

Talent is kind, obviously. That doesn't mean there isn't a lot to be said about leadership and avoiding dysfunction. You can have a lot of great players and, if they don't trust each other, you're not going to get what you get out of a comparable team that's pulling in the right direction.
