I don't think Quinn wants to reunite with him as they could of signed him in the past, but decided to go in a different direction.

Correct. Once cut, he's an UFA free to sign anywhere not subject to waivers.

To be fair, Quinn was the HC when Jones was drafted for the Falcons and did hit his prime while Quinn was there
But that being said, it seems like Jones best days are behind him and I'm not sure the team sees him as an option as he would be primarily used for special teams unless injuries pop up.

Jones' legs are gone. He's not an upgrade to anybody. Kirksey would be alright in that Anthony Barr role I guess.
