Atlanta let him walk, he was more of a rotational guy in Cleveland, and now he can't make the Carolina roster out of preseason. Those are three bad teams that all let him walk. Tough for guys to have long productive NFL careers, especially taking the abuse of a MLB.

I don't blame people for being interested in a player that has had prior success. However, if they're cut at the 53 cut down its obvious their skills have declined and there's another player at their position that's either better or close enough in talent to no longer justify their salary. It doesn't mean they still can't be a contributor, just have to accept the fact their name may no longer match their on the field play.

Jones' legs are gone. He's not an upgrade to anybody. Kirksey would be alright in that Anthony Barr role I guess.

Agree 100% Jones is done. He couldn't even land a job after playing with the Browns last year. He is done. Kirksey on the other hand would be an upgrade on Barr imo. Def a servible vet with some life left worthy of kicking the tires on.

How about this let's wait till all the cut downs instead of jumping on a player who may or may not have anything left let's find over the next three days the very best linebacker out on free agency that has more left if it happens to be him then we'll go get him if he's gone then he's gone but it sounds like he's been on three teams already how much could he really have left I mean Anthony Barr would probably be about the same right? I mean if we need a parachute player we don't end up picking up one of these guys we just bring back barr and Peters and we're set
