Not trying to start an argument, just wanting to have a little fun. Who do YOU think is/was the better corner? I know Revis is still young but the guy is a spectacular corner. I know Deion was a Cowboy so this may not be the best place to ask this question. I think its a given that Revis is by far the better tackler and that is part of being a CB. So Revis gets a point there. But what about coverage skills? I know Deion was more flashy and a good PR/KR but I'm not talking about that. Who played the CB position better? If you could pick one of them in their prime, who would you pick for your team? Sorry but I would probably pick Revis.

I have a lot of respect for Revis but Deion Sanders is still the better in my opinion

Deion all day.. and Revis is a beast. He never returned punts though.

deion by a mile
IMO deion was the last true 'shut down' corner

Deion baited QB's. WR looked to be open and as the QB who make the throw Deion was stepping in front. He says some thing on NFL network that make you laugh and scratch your head but when it came to being a true shut down CB Deion is the man

Not by a mile. I watched Deion his whole career and even went to some games he played in. I liked Deion and respected his abilities but the guy was afraid to hit anyone. He would literally wait for someone else to tackle a runner...I think this factors in my picking of Revis.

Revis is great but Deion was spectacular. Personally, I don't like the guy but the best CB I every saw.

I think Deion got away with a lot of contact that he wouldnt get away with today.

run support? Absolutely. But as regards taking the best WR the other team had and for all intents and purposes shutting him down. Deion easily.

IIRC Michael Irvin and Troy Aikman had games where they beat Deion like a drum. Irvin's focus and physicality, and Aikman's precision accuracy combined well. Of course, the team also respected him enough to sign him away from SF for high dollar.

I watched some overhead footage of Revis in coverage, and I swear he looked like some martial arts movie Tai Chi master out there, mirroring his guy beautifully.

The level Revis has played at so far in his career is comparable to Deion's at that point in his, but there is a lot left to be written.

Revis is a beast yes and Prime don't like to tackle no. Prime could cover a ghost though and was a great play-maker.

Champ Bailey?

Champ goes for the INTs and does it about as well as anyone who has played in the last 20 years. Would not call him a shut down though.

If Champ isn't a shutdown corner, then there just haven't been that many shutdown corners in NFL history. Sounds like a very strict definition.

There really have not been many true shutdown CB. Champ is a darn good CB but it got to the point teams just did not want to go after Deion and once he made the int he was looking to take it the distace not just pick up a few yards.

I agree Deion was not a hitter he did make the tackles but was not going to come up and put a big hit on guys.

He would, but it was very rare. Bigfoot sighting rare. I remember Deion came up in run support once and blasted Stephen Davis of the Commanders one game. I believe it was the first play from scrimmage of that game.

I would take a young Darrell Green before either of them.

Yeah, Darrell was super fast and a very good corner...The Cowboys had another player in the 90's, who played opposite Deion and Larry Brown, who was a really good cb and that was Kevin Smith. He was a dang good corner and people forget about him...
