Deion's health concerns return

He really should focus on his health at this point. He is still a young man and life is precious.

He has already gone through so much with his bladder cancer I cannot imagine how he can focus on coaching college football on the big stage. As a bladder cancer survivor myself, who just had a recent scare, I can tell you there are times when it is impossible to focus on anything but the next biopsy, and Deion had a complete bladder removal and a new bladder constructed out of his small intestines. This is such a radical procedure with months of issues and potential problems that come with it, the man must be made of steel to deal with that plus doing everything else he has to do. And on top of that he is having circulation issues in his legs. No one would blame him for stepping away.

I have all the respect in the world for Deion and I wish him the very best with his health.

Had no idea he had that done. I knew about his toe, foot, and poor circulation. But bladder removal? Dang. I think he needs to retire. He's got nothing else to prove. Just focus on health and the family.

Reminds me of the line from "Remember the Titans." "There's a fine line between tough and crazy, and you're flirting with it."

Prime needs to step away from football and prioritize his health. Rest is a significant part of the healing process.

Unfortunately our meat suits glitch out, and sometimes they just break down . The human body is a marvel. But wear and tear is going to happen to us all. Father time is undefeated.

I don’t like telling people how to live their lives. He should do what’s best for him. If sitting down a bit will improve his life he should do it. I get his love is probably what keeps him alive. So I know he can’t go cold turkey.

Hate to see this for him but he’s a warrior. He’s always defied the odds. Have no doubt he will be victorious here.

Sucks. I wish him the best and hope he is able to stay strong.

Kind of crazy because you usually think about poor diet and lack of exercise being a big factor of diabetes. Yet Deion is one of the greatest athletes of all time in seemingly good condition. Not overweight.

Must be a genetics thing.
Definitely can be genes. It really complicates matters.

That’s the thing about diabetes…..it can hit anyone especially people of color. Some are born with it. I don’t believe that was Deion’s case though. I have a grandma who ate junk food her whole life and loved Little Debbie Cakes…she was active but not professional athlete active. Never was a diabetic. Just one of those weird things in life.

But is this diabetic related? I thought all this stemmed from his toe injury?

Having a purpose helps. That’s very true.

You could be right and I’m wrong. For some reason I thought it was complications from
Diabetes he dealt with before.

On the genetic factor. You’re right though.

I know these twins. They were excellent physical shape. Excellent. Worked out all the time. Ran. They both did push ups and sit ups every day. They were lean and muscular.

Well one of the twins had a stroke when he was 56. The other twin, had a stroke 1 month later.

Had to be something about the design of their body. No other explanation given 56 is pretty young for strokes and they were people who worked out daily and ate well.

Damn yeah I’ve seen similar situations as well. Sucks….

And yeah the Deion stuff I’ve heard so much I honestly am not sure. There was a point think he even knew. The symptoms do seem to fit a diabetic though.

God bless you sir. Hope you stay cancer free. And I pray Deion gets better as well. This is some heavy stuff.

I feel bad for Deion. He's had to deal with health problems for a majority of his life. And he's only 58!! I wish him nothing but good health. Whatever he decides, I hope he takes care of himself.
