I've always been a draft nerd and I've also always been intrigued by great athletes. The 6'6" power forward who has the tools to play TE, the 6'2" undersized shooting guard with enough speed and athleticism to play WR, the track sprinter with world class speed to play KR, etc.
Having watched DeJuan Blair on the hardwood I am convinced he would be a freak on the football field. I know some have mentioned himas a TE like Antonio Gates but I think he would make a great OLB in a 3-4 or a pass-rushing DE in a 4-3. He is 6'7", 265 lbs, and incredibly physical.
He declared for the NBA Draft today so he will take his shot at the NBA first. If he ends up being less Elton Brand and more Robert Traylor, I'd love to see what he can do. I'm not talking about investing a high draft pick (wouldn't be draft eligible until next year) or a multi-million dollar deal here but I do think he'd be worth a look.
