I wonder what the plan is for Watson.
The Cowboys signed him after he was cut by Jacksonville right after Dallas played Jacksonville. I think they signed him after he cleared waivers but that's not clear.
Despite only starting 6 games in 4 years for the Bucs, the Jags signed him to:
3/12/2014: Signed a three-year, $6.25 million contract. The deal contains $1.5 million guaranteed.
The Cowboys have kept him on the 53 but he's only been able to play in 1 game.
If they signed him after he cleared waivers then he is likely a free agent next year. If they claimed him on waivers then he is under contract for next season.
It just seems odd to keep him on the 53 at this point if he is truly a special teams only player.
