Delane isn't the fan favorite in this poll

If you are to believe Broaddus, the Cowboys are out on Bain due to his short arms.

Well Jerry, Stevie, and Bryan all lack the same thing that matters with developing a winning football team...above average intelligence and no hubris.

Compared to the other 3 on this list, he is clearly the least favourite. There is also a very good chance none of these guys will be sitting there at 12, and I don't see Jerry moving up to get one of them either

I want Downs or Bain. I don't understand Bain's drop. He was dominant at the highest level of college football. If he's there at 12 and fits this 3-4 scheme, you have to take him.

But Downs isn't going to be there in all likelihood. Harbaugh loves the guys and needs his Ed Reed in the secondary. With picks 5 and 10, there is no way Downs is falling to 12.

I agree 100%. Tape is what matters. Not the underwear olympics or these measurables that have nothing to do with the tape. I like Styles. But not in the top ten. He's a mid first rounder minus the combine. I care about his play, not how athletic he is. Trey Lance got drafted high due to everything that wasn't tape related.

i don't watch tape. was his tape not good? i'd always heard it was, and the insane combine just added to it.

The first pick needs to be a tone setter for the team. Struggling to see how picking a safety or off ball linebacker achieves this. Styles is amazing so is Downs but we need power and edge rushers. To me, Bain or the OU kid achieves this. R Mason Thomas the edge/olb from OU is a dog. A hardworking Jessie as they say. Tone setter. I didn't know who he was admittedly just two days ago but studying his tape, listening to projections, he fits what we need I just wouldn't take him at 20. I'd see about dropping down about 4-5 spots, picking up a 2nd rounder. Use that 2nd rounder on a green dot Linebacker. If we drop back to 24 or 25, that's where I take my edge rusher/olb. If he isnt there, take corner . Maybe Hood.

I still think Downs or Styles would be a good pick, just wouldn't trade up and give away capital to get them. Downs plays a non-premium position and the Cowboys added 2 safetys to the mix so not as likely of a pressing need at this point. Styles could end up being the best defensive player in the draft and offers versatility that could play edge, or inside LB. I just wonder which is the best spot for him to play and if there's others that have a clearly defined spot that would do it better. I also wonder with the Ohio State guys who is a product of the system and those around them?

The Cowboys are in an interesting draft position where all the top defensive targets could very well be gone.

I could see dallas passing him and him being a baller. Then when pressed Jerry will say some crap about his fit in the 3-4 being the reason they passed on him. Its predictable

People are overthinking things so much. Maybe apart from Love find me a better football player in this draft than Downs
