Delay of game - something doesn’t feel right

Something is bothering me. Both of the plays where the Cowboys got a delay of game or ran out of time (after fake punt, last play of game), the clock hit zero, and the there was either a delay of game penalty or the game ended.

Here is what bothers me — in neither case did it seem like the Cowboys got the benefit of the doubt, unlike most of the time I see it called (or more appropriately not called) across the league.

I don’t believe the NFL or the refs have it out for the Cowboys. In a not a conspiracy theorist. I just suspect Brady or ARod or many others would have a split second more…..

There was a play for SF where the play clock hit zero a full second before they snapped the ball. I do see that around the league.

Last play of the game we put ourselves in that position, too risky a call. I think that play starts to make sense with around 17+ seconds left, not 14.

After the fake punt, that seemed egregious - that the ref didn't get out of the way. But again, we pulled some clown attempt to trick them and called it off too late.
