Before this season, I didn't want us to resign him. He's a good back, injury prone, nothing special. Now, I'm starting to think he's special. If he continues to play this way and stay healthy all 16 games, do we break the bank for this guy? Maybe franchise him?

Probably the greatest season ever by any Cowboys player was Emmitt in 1995. Emmitt had 1,773 rushing, 25TDs, and 375 receiving.

I know it's early, but Murray is on pace for 2,136 rushing, 20TDs, and 272 receiving. Obviously, he won't get that, but he might come close if he stays healthy.

AP, who is overpaid, signed a 6 year 96 million dollar contract. Murray is on pace to beat out anything AP has ever done.

Assuming he stays healthy this year and continues to produce, I would at the most franchise him and make him prove he can do it again next year.

DMarc is on schedule to get 2k+...

Re-sign or not... our OL is BEAST... lets wait and see unless we get the home town discount...

My only worries is the moment the ink on his contract has dried he sprains his knee and is out for 3 games.

Would love to know Ryan Williams' blocking is much improved cause I'd like to see him run once in a while behind this o-line.

Please stop comparing Murray to Peterson.

Murray is an elite runner. He gets hit and can still make those extra yards and then some. But the best move would be to franchise him.

I'm right there with you... I was not a Murray fan, and I'm still skeptical, but if he can hang on to the ball, and stay healthy, then he looks like the real deal... He seems to have exceptional field vision, and he finishes runs really well, except for those times he runs out of bounds when he could cut back inside and pickup an extra 4+ yards... Overall, if he stays healthy, and can prove he's not a fumble waiting to happen, then pay his butt the elite RB money... No doubt, by far the best RB we've had since 22...

Franchising is a terrible waste of resources and cap space. You can get almost 3 years of service compared to one year of the Franchise Tag. Plus, if he has another great year, the number goes up even further. It's much better to give a big signing bonus and spread the cap hit over several years.

He is having great year but how much of him will be left. I would be very very careful with that signing. If price is right you do it but OL is dominant.
