DeMarco Murray Will have a better MMA Career than Football career. For those who don't know, he trains MMA to keep in shape.

Thoughts? Concerns?

I think a lot of people around here are OU fans and are delusional... He runs stiff, goes down easy, and doesn't pick up his feet...

His vision is exceptional and when that happens you get Emmitt Smith, Tony Dorsett and Eric Dickerson type moments on the football field.

Though Murray may have some flaws, don't count him out just yet.

lol you just mentioned Emmitt Smith, Tony Dorsett and Eric Dickerson when describing the likeness of a second round draft pick... He is closer to Julius Jones than any of these at this point...

and this screams mma fighter?

Lonyae will have more carries. Or choice, whoever #3 is.

Are you suggesting he should stop his mma training and study the playbook more?

All I'm saying is that when a RB has vision like Murray has, it makes all of his other intangibles look alot better, especially on the pro level.

I am not crazy about him tbh,we will see if he can stay healthy to be productive on 3rd downs and kick returns.

He has a lot of Arian Foster in him. If before you say anything, most of you guys would have laughed at Arian Foster a few years ago given that he was undrafted and all.

MMA training is the absolute best way to stay in shape......

It doesn't mean he's fighting.

Im very concerned. Huffing paint is often deadly.

Speaking of paint I think I am high! I am doing a custom paint job on my engine cover on my silverado.. Oh BOY! I need some air! lol

He can't stay healthy enough to play football, how in the hell is he going to hold up when crazy coked up meatheads are literally trying to break his face?

It's training MMA not fighting MMA.... It is the BEST way to stay in shape.

Have you seen fighters? They are in better shape than any athlete.

He is doing what they do to stay in shape.

If they train there bodies to withstand all that abuse I think it is probably the best way to stay healthy.

1: The most "in-shape" athletes are the African marathoners who can run 26 miles in just a little over two hours and have a resting heart rate below 40. Nobody else on the planet is even close.

2: The OP said he would have a good MMA career, meaning he would have to actually fight at some point. He'd sprain an ankle while warming up in the dressing room.

3: MMA fighters are certifiably insane. Impressive athletes, but insane all the same.

Ya but do you want an African marathon runners body playing football?

It's extremely common for athletes like football players to use MMA training to stay in shape.

I agree. I'm just saying that Murray would last about 1.9 seconds in a real MMA fight before pulling something.
