What do you mean "to some it may be questionable". You liked his post, you obviously agree that it was questionable. What else from his post could you have possibly liked other than the few things he said about Garrett's comments on Murray running hard and pulling Murray as being questionable?

Never mind, bro.

Carry on...

You should attribute that to whatever poster it is that you believe said that. I certainly never said to bench Romo after a single interception.

I know...

It's just the concept of the whole thing. Not all people are the same or contribute to the team as much as other positions do. You cannot send the same message to the same players.

I guess it's just a locker room kind of thing to me.

:D

Then it's a completely hollow message and in my opinion could do nothing but make players resent Romo for his untouchable status. Especially considering he has a knack for blaming anyone but himself when there is an interception.

I don't suppose you have anything to back up this claim do you?

How so?

Interceptions are usually the result of a throw that shouldn't have been made. A mistake.

Just as fumbling is a result of not holding onto the ball well enough. A mistake.

Why should one be tolerated but not the other? The both yield the same negative result.

Do you really think they would bench Murray after ONE fumble in the regular season? Don't make this out to be another one of your "Why doesn't Romo get the same treatment other players get" posts....

What's the likelihood that Romo would actually get benched is the point... You can replace Murray with an effective Phillip Tanner. You can't replace Romo with Orton.

Some people like to argue just to argue, Romo is the LEADER of this team. He's the QB. Bench a fumbling RB everytime, you can't bench your starting QB and he knows it!!!

I question the phrase "effective" being used with Tanner.

I don't think the drop off from Murray to Tanner and that from Romo to Orten is that different.

I wouldn't want to see Tanner for a series or two anymore than i'd want to see Orten for a series or two.

That being said, if you're going to have standards, they should apply to everyone.

So will Tony Romo be benched after his first interception of the season? DeMarco Murray: "I highly doubt that."

notice he said season and not preseason. Murray would not of been benched for one fumble in regular season either. If he had, then you have to question why the coach trusts him to be the #1 guy at RB if you cannot trust him to recover after a fumble and make the other team pay for it.

Murray is just stating what is expected of Romo and the trust that Garrett has in him as a QB. If you asked Romo the same about Murray if after one fumble, would Garrett pull Murray in regular season, Romo would say the same IMO

Murray will get better.. The more he plays, the more he will be a factor. He just needs to keep learning from his mistakes like he did on Saturday.

Interceptions can be the result of many things, not just a QB error. Replacing a QB is not nearly as easy as replacing a running back. The difference is obvious.

Interceptions can be a throw that clearly shouldn't have been attempted by the QB, or a great play by the D.

Same with a RB, could just be a perfect hit by the defender, or the result of the RB not putting enough emphasis on protecting the ball.
