I have watched all but a couple of the Sooners games this year. Murray does not run with power. He goes down like Julius Jones did for us. He runs with little passion or purpose. He has all the athletic ability in the world, but he just doesn't run with the same intensity that Brown does. If he ran with Brown's intensity or passion, he would be unstoppable, except for the injuries.

He is a powerful runner. I don't know what else to say because if you watched the games, you'd see him running over, through, and around tacklers.

I just don't know how you're getting your analysis. I watch and attend many games, and have attended several Oklahoma games.

Who knows, maybe someone has been slipping crack into my whiskey or something because you and I see two completely different tailbacks.

When Murray first got to OU, he ran just like you described him. He scared the living daylights out of me.....I was never afraid of Patrick. However, this season, Murray reminded me a lot of Patrick. I will say in the last few weeks of the season, Murray looked more like his old self, but not totally.

Now, I know he has been dealing with injuries this season and that may have played a huge part in Patrick-esque performances this year.

Brown is more of an Eddie George guy. He won't break long runs, but he will pound you and impose his will on you. He will leave you knowing you were in a football game.

Wow, do you have hidden mics in my home? lol... I have been saying that Chris Brown is a little Eddie George in crimson for about two years now. That's cool that I'm not the only one that thinks that. Like George, he is always moving tacklers backward, even if it's for only a yard.

And you pretty much agree with me on the Murray issue, it just wasn't clear cut. Early in the season, he wasn't near the Murray of last season and the second half of this season.

I will however say that during the first half of this year, he did take on tacklers and did not shy away from contact. He was just not near as effective as he became later in the season.

It actually looked like he was trying to become more of a contact tailback early on since he obviously favored that knee and was hesitant to make big cuts.

I thought Allen Patrick was an explosive back, but not a guy that you want carrying the load. 3rd down back at best imo.

Patrick is the worst starting RB OU has had under Stoopes. In fact, the Sooners have had some backups who I would rate higher than Patrick......Murray, who was a backup when he first came. Brown, who is Murray's backup. I can't remember his name, but he was a solid 3rd down back. He was a good receiver on screens and found the end zone on several occasions. I think he may have played with Griffin or just after.

I know that Patrick played injured for most of his senior season. When healthy, he was actually quite productive.

Now obviously we agree that he isn't a full time back, but he wasn't a bad one.

I'm just waiting to see if OU tries to throw Madu out there. He is so unproven to me and a lot of sooner fans are raving about him. He won't last two snaps against that Florida.

It's gonna be up to Brown to establish success on the ground. They might be able to work a few plays in there for Madu, but I wouldn't trust him as far as I could spit on the field if I were Stoops.

Bradford is gonna end up throwing and throwing A LOT. He'll probably connect for 350+ yards and 3 or 4 TDs in a losing effort. He had great numbers against UT in a losing effort.

If the sooners' special teams don't screw anything up, it might be a close game and they could possiblypull out a victory.

Oh and I think you may have been referring to Kejaun Jones as Quentin Griffin's spell back? I wouldn't say he was better than Allen Patrick. Maybe about the same, both were 3rd down backs thrown into starting roles.

what happened to those other two backs OU has.....the #2 and 3 RB recruits from last year....Johnson and that other kid? I guess they were both redshirted.

I know UT redshirted Tre Newton.....and I believe CB DJ Monroe as well. I cant wait to see either of those two next season.

I wish Charles would have stayed for his senior year, I bet he would have been infinitely more productive at UT than he was at KC. He also, could have pushed his stock to 1st round and gone to a better team. Plus, I feel with him, UT would have gone undefeated, as their running game would have been far more consistent, since they had figured out in their final 5 games or so how to actually utilize Charles effectively.

Since Charles did leave, I was hoping that Scott would choose UT. He played hurt this year at Colorado, and his freshman season was not all that good. IMO, he would have had a stellar season at UT. Our OL is far better than Colorado's. Our QB is the best overall QB in the Big 12, much less the nation this year. Our WRs destroy CUs. Yep, Scott could have had a Cedric Benson type freshman impact....and that would have been sweet. But he chose to be a stinkin Buffalo instead of a Longhorn.....MORON.

I was not pleased with UT's run game this season. I figured someone was gonna come in there and light up the conference.

Charles should've stayed. I know it's easy for me to sit here and say that while he's making millions, but I'm just talking as a fan of Texas football and not J. Charles.

I agree that UT would've, MIGHT've run the table with Charles. You just never know in this conference, and I don't know if one guy is enough to change the outcome of an entire game. I'm speaking of the Tech game obviously. He would've opened things up for Colt and the passing game so they definitely would've been a step better with than without.

I believe you are talking about Justin Johnson and jermie Calhoun. I'm not even sure if OU knows what to do with one of the two. I can't remember which one it is, but Stoops was talking about starting one of them at linebacker in the future. I'm guessing it's Calhoun because Johnson got a few touches early on in the season.

While we're on the topic of players that left early (Charles), I gotta say that Reggie Smith leaving just struck me as ignorant. Of course that Lofton kid leaving seemed pretty stupid as well, but from what I hear, he's leading the Atlanta Falcons in tackles this season, or at least he was about a month ago.

OU better win on the 8th because this is their last shot for quite some time. I figure Bradford will leave since his entire O-Line is gone after this season. Gresham will leave, both starting WRs will be gone, and they will lose a few D linemen. Granger may never play again and Gerald McCoy will probably declare. I'm not sure on that one, but money talks over state pride. G. McCoy is an OKC product.

Texas, on the other hand, will be stacked next year and should beat OU, again, quite handily. I honestly feel OU is the better team right now which is why I don't complain about the head to head b.s., but I just thought I'd throw that in there so it's known where I stand futuristically.

As a matter of fact, UT should cakewalk it right into the Big XII Title next season because it may be the first time in quite awhile that the South division is down for a year.
