Smart move would be to try to trade him in the offseason, but sadly, we will probably extend him.

running backs that have played in the league for a few years don't command a big return.. walker and dickerson being an exception.. lol

I think they need the guy. If we don't have all the injuries next year and can renegotiate Ware's and Austin's contracts and pick up a couple of players in FA then we can make some noise IMO. If we stay healthy.

I still have no idea how/why they stopped running the ball.

the Bears loaded up the box and you're supposed to take advantage of that. the problem is they used those guys to overwhelm the OL and they didn't adjust to that with more protection. You put too much pressure on a QB and he has to score and you're asking for a mistake.

That's why I would dump him for what I could get. His stock will be at an all time high and I wouldn't want to be committed to him long term. I would take a 7th for him, no problem.

Well earlier in the season, people did question him. Particularly his vision if anything.

The questions were unwarranted. Murray has run the ball well all season, Garrett just doesn't believe in it and its starting to show regardless of what he says postgame.

"We just have to run the ball better," Garrett said Saturday. "We didn't run the ball well enough last year and everybody understands that, and we understand that as a coaching staff and as an organization. We have to run it better; we have to run it more. When you run the ball well, so many things open up for you. It's amazing how you run the ball well, the opportunities to throw the ball will present themselves. The opportunity to play better defense presents itself. You're better in the red zone. You tend to take care of the ball better -- all of those things. We understand that, and we made a huge emphasis on it in the offseason and we'll continue to make that emphasis here in training camp."

This was in training camp. We kept 4 rbs on the roster coming into the season. We start games in which we seem to dominate teams with our run game and yet we lose game due to our refusal to run the ball. Incredible.
