Demarcus Lawerence on leaving Cowboys: I know for sure I'm never going to win a SB there

We get that.

But he literally said

Demarcus Lawrence says 'it would be a glorious thing'

to return here just last week
You ever trash your job in the middle of negotiations? That was clearly just to get paid lol. If Jerry gave him the contract Seattle did, he'd never have said this.

I’m for it honestly.

The more scrutinized they are the better.

Doing the status quo offseason deserves a ton of hate.
I agree. I just wish they would give the reason for it, that the team is mismanaged because it doesn't value any free agents except its own.

He isn't wrong, however.....if Jerry ponied up, he'd be here still instead of running his mouth and being an ungreatful ******. That clown stole money from this franchise, and I hope he rests easy thinking the Hawks will be much better after the teardown this off season. As the famed Billy Joe Armstrong sings, "Good Riddance"

A lot of hypocrisy in this thread.
Exactly what I was thinking when I was scrolling it. DeMarcus Lawrence just said out loud what a lot of Cowboys fans have been saying for years. Everyone wants players to be honest, but the second they speak the truth, people get in their feelings. The reality is, as long as Jerry Jones is running things the way he does, the Cowboys aren’t structured to win a Super Bowl. The culture isn't about winning at all costs, it's about staying relevant and making money, and there's 1000 threads on the front page about that very thing.

It’s like they want the truth to be spoken, just not by someone who actually lived it. Fans will trash the team all day but the moment a player keeps it real, it's "disrespectful." The truth hurts.

You may be right. But we can't know this yet. Let's hold tight. Patience.
I don't intend for this question to be offensive, because everyone certainly has the right to their own opinion and how they view the team.

But how many seasons, coaches and players do we have to go through before it is safe to say that the only common denominator for 30 years of lack of success (deep playoff run/SB which should be the goal) is the Jones boys and that nothing will get better (other than by blind luck) until they allow they boys to be run like a professional organization with a real GM?

I was one of those positive patient fans for about 10 years until I saw the same pattern repeat itself over and over again.

So what make people positive or give the Jones boys the benefit of the doubt?

While I think D Lawrence, the founding member of the all-bark, no-bite, completely underwhelming Hot Boyz, he does speak the truth. I’m certain this sentiment is shared by most of the players within the Cowboys organization.
Would love to hear what Jerry thinks of that comment, especially after paying him as much money as he did.

Just such a classy character.

Leaving a franchise and throwing dirt on it.

And now he wants us to believe he is about wining something in his sport? Mr. HotBoyz brand seller.

I am so happy this cancer is finally gone.

I wish him the worst someone can imagine:

- Lose all your relatives. But over a period of time. so it will hit him again and again and again.
- Have a accident that paralizes you from the head on down.
- get the hardest depression and panic attacks someone can imagine
....

Just dont die. I want to know that you suffer.

BYE!

Yes.

The guy that is the incarnation of "earning money tops any kind of sporty success" now has the balls to judge a franchise that fit him like a glove.

He’s not wrong

But hes also not gonna win one in seattle

But he’s not wrong
You are spot on as was Dexter
But
Seattle isn’t going to win a Super Bowl anytime soon and they won’t be any better than Dallas
But he did get someone to to give him 18 mil guaranteed

how long was he here? 10-11 years? Why didn't he request a trade 5 years ago? Or did he just figure out the team cant win?
