I expect Lawrence to produce double digit sacks next year... Too talented not to, especially going up against RTs.

I would be, but it seems like we've said that about multiple players in the last few years only to see them do nothing much. We definitely overrate the talent here.

*also, the video doesn't even work.

This team needs to bring back Hardy. I'm not willing to risk my pass rush on the shoulders of Gregory making a big jump from year one to two.

I'm ready to move on from Hardy, but it's a fair point.

Bills plan on cutting Mario Williams. Wonder if he'd be up for a team friendly 2-3 yr contract

Just imagine if Randy Gregory makes that second year jump. Demarcus Lawrence, healthy Crawford, progressing Randy Gregory. I'm actually excited about our D-Line.

I'll be excited if we get a powerful 1-tech to line up next to Crawford and a vet DE to pair with Gregory and Lawrence. Otherwise, I'll be concerned. This line wasn't exactly a sack/turnover machine. (I'd even love to see us bring back Henry Melton as a backup to Crawford. He had five sacks in 2015 for us, which is more than any of our inside guys.)

I like the potential of the young guys, but potential only means something if it pays off.

I'd certainly be interested in him playing that veteran role.

He sheds blocks a half dozen different ways. He spins, he swims, he dips and he rips. He uses leverage and balance. When he just feels his reads and goes full speed he looks dominant. That was year 2.

I already like him better than I ever liked Greg Ellis. He's like a quicker Tolbert. Likes to hit.

Does anyone remember how awesome Greg Ellis was before he broke his leg? He had two 90+ yard touchdowns that year. IMO he would have been a 15 sack per year guy. .

Here's more:

Thanks for your insightful contribution to this thread.
In b4 "4-12" "Lawrence sux" "our DL sucks" etc.

Lawrence is a very, very solid DE.

Still waiting for the hoard of people declaring Lawrence and the DL sucks to show up, but he did start slow and finish strong.

Considering Lawrence, like Randy, had an injury plagued rookie season where they racked up a total of 0 sacks, I like Randy's chances for picking the pace up in his second year.

To get a true evaluation of Lawrence just see what other teams are saying about him.we tend to view our players through blue and silver glasses.
