The only thing I’ve ever disliked about Tank was some of his arrogance off the field. But he seems to have backed off of that. Sure seems like he just wasn’t comfortable being the #1 defender and needed someone like Micah and/or Diggs to come in and step up.

A defense sees up to maybe 1000 plays maybe a lil bit less

20 sacks is legendary

20 out of 1000....you have to impact the game in other ways

Some fans seem to have a hard time understanding pressure or the nuances of drawing multiple blockers. They can understand sacks because it's a stat they can count.

I’ve always been a huge Lawrence fan. Saw many D-end’s over the years for this team and he’s absolutely been one of the best they’ve had. Great against the run and when healthy plays with a motor.

He really could be considered for the ROH. He might not make it but he should certainly be in the discussion.

1 of them would start for every team in the league, the other a no3 or rotational guy for most teams.

He's overshadowed by Micah. Last night it was Micah, Bell and Gilmore who got all the love for the defense.

Lawrence just keeps doing it at an elite level, whether he gets any attention for it or not. Keep it going, #90.

He is absolutely balling out this year if you watch the games....stats don't matter when it comes to him, Just need him to be good at playing the run and disrupting the pocket.

Still a big-time leader on the field. Almost every time someone posts Sounds from the Sidelines, you'll see Tank hyping up the team before the game starts.

I will be honest, holding back on his surgery before the contract annoyed me but I'm over that after i had a few weeks therapy and just appreciate his excellence now

Dude is the definition of a winning player.

There was a play yesterday where the Chargers set up a screen to Ekeler. DLaw came off free, and when Herbert threw it, Lawrence batted the pass down.

The Chargers had their blocking set up, and Ekeler had a clear path for a 10 or 20 yard gain. DLaw stopped all that by playing smart, disciplined defense instead of ball chasing the QB. That won't show up in his sack total, but from a DC's perspective, it's just as impactful of a play.

It didn't. Only those who were just paying attention to sack numbers believe that. Go back and look at his pressure numbers before Parsons arrived.

OK. I'm just saying that he's not the type of player who needs a fire lit. He gives it his all and has been. If he wants to give credit to Micah then good on him.

It may not be you but others on this board have been harping (wrongly) on Lawrence and his effort for years, based primarily on sack production.

He's played well for several years in a row now. Look at where he's been in pressures and run defense over the past 5 years. The problem is most people/fans/media only look at sacks.

not sure why gilmore got love he made 1 play.Albeit was a huge game sealing pick but he looked like AB the rest of the time IMO. I do think Lawerence is solid and I have to eat crow the last couple years since he is no longer the media focus as being team leader and hot boy front man i like him much more.

He is playing very well. Parsons is getting the attention because of what he did in the past. It seems now teams are scheming for him. This leaves the other players with 1 on 1. Should be getting pressure on everyone. Last night we got 2 sacks but 18 pressures, their qb was never safe.

Those pressures really impact games. Fans tend to over look pressures but they forced hurried throws, quick throws and throw aways
