I dont think this is a shot at DQ. I know fans want it to be I just think this is just boosting up Zim. The players loved DQ and laid flat out on their back for him against GB.
As you pointed out the players who LOVED DQ laid down when it mattered
Maybe Tank is willing to say it like it is
DQ was sharp and smart; however a players coach has to be able to get hard and I never saw that with him
Also like too many other coordinators he was unwilling to change things in mid game when things were not working

But I do think it was a problem him wanting to be all or nothing NASCAR go get the quarterback like not caring about where the ball might be in a running back's hand or where it might be thrown to just go get a sack go get an interception go make a big play it just seemed like hero ball to me guys were playing out of position trying to make the big play... But also being in the booth versus the sideline kind of separate you on game day from your coach being literally in your ear with all the communication going back and forth seems to me you can get things mixed up... I'd like to see a poll on how many coordinators are in the booth versus on the field in the NFL and on which team....

Blame city. DQ has been the new Kellen Moore. Next season McCarthy will be the new DQ.

The players will point directly or indirectly, to anyone but the guy in the mirror.
so, like fans do? lmao.. its natural happens but not like Marinelli, Nolan, Garett, Moore or DQ didn't have their warts. There were issues. And we don't need to use Mike McCarthy as a scapegoat we can talk openly about the fact that I don't think he opened up the offense early enough and I think at #3 wide receiver and a lot of the running back group he didn't utilize them properly for packages you know picking the right guy for the right play I think he tried to force it to Pollard too much didn't use Rico enough and for sure didn't use Turpin enough that's a fact we already know this and hopefully he knows it and tries to correct it this year... And you thinking this is Mike McCarthy's last year's ridiculous it's not a done deal I mean this season being somehow already thrown out is a sacrificial season because we have some players under their last year their contracts and the head coach are all lined up that doesn't mean a thing... If he goes out and wins 10-12 games and makes the playoffs with this allegedly worst-off season ever the Jones family didn't give him any weapons they didn't improve with players, how could you not keep the guy?

You can't have it both ways if the Jones family according to the masses are not giving the coaches enough players to succeed in the bigger games than how are you gonna blame the coach if he's consistently giving us double digit wins and getting us to the playoffs every damn year?!

I wonder what Zimmer thinks of the Hot Boyz
ask him what he thought of Kirk cousins with the crazy chains in the locker room with his alternate personality? I mean players should be allowed to loosen up a little bit here and there without being ridden hard for their choices I know it looks bad sometimes but it's not that big a deal with everyone making it out to be...

I hear you, but this not totally accurate. Most professionals have coaches or mentors. Getting the best out of yourself is something most people can't do on their own...like 99% of us.

Many of us are professionals at our own job yet management and leadership can for sure get more or less out of you. It's human nature to lose motivation and potentially become complacent. Very few people in the world or sports motivate and drive themselves to be better all the time. Those people are in a rare category like MJ, Kobe, Brady etc and are usually goats. Even MJ had to take every little thing as a slight to keep his edge.

I just see them do this all the time. People said nice things shift Mike Nolan. These interviews and pressers are nothing.
