This is what he is...he's not a big sack guy and he won't until you get someone on the other side of him that can generate some pressure.
That's what I mean whether its the middle or the other end.....he needs another threat out there to gain some pressure. He's not the pressure guy despite some of his sack totals in previous years. He's going to give you 5-8 sacks a season. Not the other side that's the problem. It's the middle. If you have no push up the middle, it hurts the DEs because the quarterback can just step up and avoid the outside rush. Lawrence, Gregory and Smith all would fare better if Dallas could get a middle push.
He has a great motor and not afraid to play the run! I'll take a guy like that on my team any day. Stats are for nerds. If you know football , you know he's a great player.@ Cincinnati 0.0 sacks
2020 season total 4.5 sacks
At least he is doing his part
By doing his part, you mean picking up his check on time every week???@ Cincinnati 0.0 sacks

He really is doing his part, although some think you pay for sacks, hes much more to this team than that@ Cincinnati 0.0 sacks

On the other side? More like two guys in the middle. Pressure up the middle puts the QB right in his tracks. As it stands now QBs step up and he is pushed right past them. This is what he is...he's not a big sack guy and he won't until you get someone on the other side of him that can generate some pressure.
Wow!! Thanks brother.in my next life...i want to play for you.
it'd be an honor.
hes been playing well ok troll..hes putting pressure on guys played the run very well today chasing guys down for TFL causing a Fumble etc@ Cincinnati 0.0 sacks

......but still.....I'd like to see him on the right side a little more. He can take over a game when he has 1 on 1.....On the strong side...he gets chipped a lot. Get him singled up....and let him eat. I'm saying if he played alongside a TJ Watt or a Miles Garrett or hell a Aaron Donald.......you'd see his sack numbers go up. I know what he's paid. But he has perennially been our best defense end. Our most talented. And that in itself is a issue. He's a great player.....in comparison Robert Mathis and Dwight Freeney needed each other. IF you just had one of those guys on that defensive line.....they are not the same defensive line. Lawrence needs another player of his caliber on that line with him whether its at the defense tackle position or the other end.On the other side? More like two guys in the middle. Pressure up the middle puts the QB right in his tracks. As it stands now QBs step up and he is pushed right past them.
Yep, I feel pretty sure that he was playing hurt the first part of the season, but he has been all over the field in the second half of the season. I'd start all over on D with Lawrence, Gregory, Diggs, Wilson and maybe LVE. Aldon Smith for a reasonable price.
