I think (hope) Lawrence can help a bit, but I get the feeling that many fans are expecting the next coming of Haley or Ware.

I'm not saying he will or won't, but I just think those fans should temper their expectations.

For the love of Pete, we have no idea what he brings. He hasn't played one professional football game yet.

He's been working out on the side doing the cord work.

I believe he's on schedule.

He's a rookie who hasn't had a training camp or preseason.

I'm expecting minimal impact....and I was a huge supporter of his long before he became a Cowboy.

I think his impact could be keeping players like Mincey, Selvie and Spencer fresh down the stretch. If he can get 20 snaps a game, those 3 would be better then they would have during that crucial December

I really hope he ends up being a productive pass rusher, I just don't see it. I've been wrong before (rarely), and I hope I am. We need a pass rusher in the worst way. He seems like he's going to be another Almost Anthony. I don't like the way he rushes the passer. I think he needs to bulk up a lot. He doesn't move very fluidly and lacks strength.

I think he can still make an impact. Get to the qb. That's your job lol even if he starts slow like spencer is. Just putting pressure on the qb has helped us

They need him THIS year. The team is on pace for 16 sacks this season. Does anybody know the record for the least number of sacks for a defense in a season? It has to be close to 16.

That's a low number...

But you know, watching the game, they do seem to be getting some pressure.

They get quite a bit of pressure but no sacks. They do a good job of moving the QB around and making him uncomfortable to force incompletions.

We dropped a few 3 INT's this game keep in mind due to pressure.

Honestly, you go back and watch his college games and he doesn't look all that great. I wouldn't expect a whole lot out of him. It's not like we're waiting for Clowney to come back from injury. Keep the expectations low, cause he's not going to alter the defense all that much.

I have to respectfully disagree. I may be a little biased having lived in Boise and watched his games in person. But, he is very long, surprisingly strong, and can bend the edge around an OT. He's no Clowney, for sure. But, I would bet that the moment he is healthy, he becomes our best edge rusher (apologies to Spencer).

Hopefully I'm wrong. Just watching his games leaves me underwhelmed.

Well, we're looking for more legitimate speed off the edge.

Demarcus Lawrence definitely offers that above and beyond our current options on obvious 3rd and long scenarios.
