Not going to beat about the Bush here. He looks lost, overweight, and close to approaching bust status. For a guy who cost 2 picks he needs to be WAY more of a factor.
He isn't an edge rusher in the true sense, can't get the corner, dip and turn. I am truly disappointed in him.
In fact what has he done when Greg hardy hasn't been on the field? Pretty much nothing.
Plain and simple he has got to step up huge. If a top draft pick isn't given a contract extension it's prett6 much a waste because they need to be your core for 10 years.

Yeah, I don't think he's a reliable player at all. Just a rotation guy now

He had one good stretch two years ago, but has produced virtually nothing since then

Contract year coming up. We'll get everything he has to offer whatever that may be.

Can't hit on them all.

although with a back injury that may require surgery, I can't harp on his playoff performance.

He is invisible out there. He made one play all game. And about two plays this entire season.

He needs competition and he should not be gifted anything.

I think the Dallas scouting department has shown that they have a keen eye for certain position groups, but DE is not one of them. Tank, Gregory, Tapper in the last three years were all picked in second through fourth. So far I don't know if I see a guaranteed second contract amongst any of those names. They need to look at Free Agent DEs this off-season.

I mean the results are what they are, but holding tapper and Gregory against their eye is kinda misguided. Lawrence sucks though. Bummer

Has averaged 3 sacks per year in his somewhat abbreviated (due to injuries and suspension) 3 year career.

He looks the part (Tarzan), but the production absolutely hasn't been there (Jane) except a brief flash when was playing opposite Hardy.

Its been over 20 years since the Cowboys have hit on a true pass rusher besides Dware

He makes me long for the days of Anthony Spencer. I hated Spencer. He looks like a world beater compared to Lawrence

Agreed that we need much more from him. I truly believe that moving to the strong side and bulking up has cost him his pass rushing ability by maxing his frame out too much.

We moved up to grab him at the top of the 2nd (late first - early 2nd round grouping) because he had natural ability to bend the edge and get after the QB. At 6'3" he has nearly 34" arms and was around 250 lbs. I truly believe he needs to be playing at no more than 260ish lbs because it appears that the extra weight (due to switching sides) has cost him the traits that we drafted him for, as well as his health.

IMO this goes back to last year when we should have kept him at the weak side to rotate with Gregory and we should have used Hardy on the strong side in the base defense.

He's a lost cause. He has no push, no speed, no anything. Just a bump on a log out there.

He just isn't a star WDE. The guy needs to be playing strong side and have an elite rusher on the other side. I never thought he had the quickness to be the guy on the DLine. But to say he is a bust, i'm not gonna go that far yet.
