Talked about his injuries finally. 2 bad elbows, a quad injury and herniated back.

That puts his lack of explosion into perspective. Only thing thats going to cure them elbows and quad is rest. He'll get that now. Maybe he needs to go get that back checked out, which he'll do in his exit physical. He will be in Dallas next yr. So i hope he can get back to his old self. Still think Dallas needs to draft his eventual replacement. this is where i think a Michael Sam could be drafted later in the draft and develop while still providind Ware some rest plays.

My dream DL next yr for me would be
Trent Murphy| Josh Mauro| Corey Peters| Demarcus Ware
Depth
Selvie|Crawford|Hayden|Ed Stinson|Michael Sam

he said he had the bad back since 2010, so why didnt he take care of it?

Now were stuck with a 31 yr old DE with a reoccuring ailment and hes going to be getting 12 mil? No thanks.

Save us now and just blow this defense up. Start over. Mercy, please.

Not sure what to think. I guess it's good there's a medical reason and maybe it's just been a bad streak. Or maybe 260 lb DE's are always going to get beat up and worn down if they play the way he plays. He wasn't much better than Selvie this year.

Corey Peters would be a pretty savvy signing. Blowing out his achilles week 15 just before free agency is really unfortunate for him.

My big DL concern for 2014 is without Hatcher, there's just not a lot of power anymore unless Crawford has turned into a monster while rehabbing his achilles. Sucks that Crawford and Bass are total unknowns going into next year.

Love the guy, but this is a repeat of last year when he ended the year with a litany of various injuries.

10% it's a coincidence and 90% it's his body giving out.

I will go with the 90%

Nothing funnier than when a guy on the Internet refers to serious injuries as "excuses." I hope you didn't sprain your pinky typing that post.

internet tough guys always talk about excuses while they are sitting in their parents basement wanking off to 20 year old playboys.

You have no idea what I do for a living, and for a lot less money than Ware. We get hurt all the time. Shove your comments where the sun doesn't shine.

Unless your job requires you to blitz a quarterback with a herniated back, then I don't want to hear it.

It may be the development of some chronic condition due to playing against heavier men in the trenches for several years.

And maybe that is why he tweeted something about taking a paycut. Im sure the elbow and quad injuries will improve with rest but the back may be a chronic thing that has to be managed.

A paycut and a decrease in snaps may be just a reality check.

And not a bad thing to acknowledge and come to terms with the truth if that is what it is.

Could still contribute as a role player and free up money to get another DE

Our training staff blows as an aside.. I can tell from key indicators of Ware's 'posture' that he sets himself up for these issues and it's not even my profession. Upper cross syndrome, whic ses you up for constnt neck stingers and excessive lordosis, especially from his two-point stance that puts pressure on the spine, leading to yep.. you guessed it, herniated disks... it's because of things like this that normal people screw themselvesup, what to think of guys like Ware in such a violent environment.

Rest ain't helping if he doesn't address these problems...
