DeMarvion Overshown joins 'GMFB' to share recovery progress, expectations for next season

Didn't the running back Adrian Peterson tear his knee up very similar to this and came back stronger than ever?

I know, this is the outlier of all outlier miracle recovery scenarios, but I still thought worth mentioning to show its not entirely impossible.

Overshown, and probably Diggs will start the season on PUP. Maybe Sam Williams as well.
And these may not be the typical miss the 1st 4 weeks, or 6 weeks, or whatever the rule is. Expect minimum 6 to 8 weeks. it is just how this team operates. Injury estimates are always double from what they tell us, for weeks / games missed.

They need to make plans and draft players in those positions. They did address it as to bringing in Murray, though he replaces Kendricks.
Elam bought in for Diggs, unless Carson improves tremendously.

Still draft here, but not before RB and DT and possibly DE. Still need WR and OL as well.

It means bringing them back when their body is ready, not when Doctor Jerry says they're ready

it was not as bad an injury to AP

Are you sure about that?
So has Dr. Jerry said when Dak is ready yet? Since he needs Dak to do something for that stupid contract.
All has been quiet about his progress for the most part.

There’s no chance Sam Williams starts on PUP unless there’s an unexpected setback. He’ll be more than a year and four months post injury when the season starts.

Very true, however we know how this team operates. He could start TC on PUP. Do sideline work, then be activated after a week or 2. Possibly as they return to Frisco after they break camp.

you somehow forget the other players he's rushed back just to prove your little point (smarty pants) Michael Gallup/Diggs etc etc

I think the betting money would be on Diggs starting the season on PUP.

With his injury he's not at a skill position which is where these types of injuries would particularly be concerning. Though no injury recovery is guaranteed I think he has a good chance to make it back to the field and be an excellent contributor.

Will he be the same player, hopefully but it may take a couple years.

His injury was one of the worst you can get. I love the guy; he is a REAL PLAYER.
But counting on him to be all the way back this year is lunacy; and sad thing is he might never make it all the way back
They don't put them back together with JB Weld and Duct tape like they did back in your day. Medical science is very advanced. This will make him a more cerebral player and losing a half a step, can serve him well. No more running around like a chicken with his head cut off. He's got a tough road ahead, but he can come back an be a real asset for us.
