Would we take him in the 1st round?

If you're seriously looking at Dez shouldn't this guy be looked at too?

wide receivers that are extremely raw (coming from a triple option attack) just seem to have a much larger learning curve than other postional prospects that are deemed "raw"
WR has the largest bust factor because of this.
Give me a 5 ft 10 quick kid running a 4.6 with hands of glue and a full knowledge of the passing tree anytime!

Better yet a 6 ft 2 4.4 kid with a full knowledge of the passing tree anytime!!!

I don't know why we wouldn't be interested in a prospect like Demaryius Thomas.

He has all the skills to be a great receiver.

And while even I have wondered about his adjustment to an NFL offense from the triple option at Georgia tech, Thomas was recruited by Chan Gailey and played in his pro system as a freshman.

So it won't be completely foreign to Thomas.

I don't see us making this move...but then again I had a dream about a week ago that this was the player Cowboys drafted!

My favourite is Tate, but I'd like to get Thomas as well. Probably has the highest ceiling.

I don't see Dallas spending a first on him, but yeah I like him quite a bit. He strikes me as as Sidney Rice type that will come into the league and do nothing for the first two years before exploding.

But unlike Rice, Thomas would have a QB already in place. ;)

Err... You mean like Miles Austin, right?

I positively love wideouts who go after the ball in the air like its their wallet.

Golden Tate is one of those guys. He is a 5-11 receiver who plays likes he's 6-4.

I watched his clips against USC last night on another board and Tate abused Taylor Mays. He caught his second touchdown on Mays on the goal line and was in the safety's cross hairs for a kill shot.

Tate absorbed the blow like it was nothing, Mays crumpled to the ground and the wideout walked in for six.

Tate's first touchdown was a sideline nine route and the corner actually interfered with him by chopping his arm right before the pass arrived. Mays was in deep coverage and was late coming over. However, he arrived in time to make a play but never turned to look for the pass.

I hate safeties with no ball awareness.

I do too but Romo could seem to care less.

Terrell Owens playing like a 5-9 smurf and refusing to go after off target passes may have scarred Tony Romo.

Maybe Dez is a perfect fit. He is the all time TO clone. He even plays like a midget at times too.

His 34 on the Wonderlic increases his appeal quite a bit. I just want to get the most talented player we can in this slot regardless of position.

Thats not saying much. Taylor Mays covers about as well as stick pin covers a king size bed.
