Dennis Hopper dead at 74 after prostate cancer battle

I was a big fan.

For an NFL tie-in, I loved those commercials he did back in the 90s. "Know what Bruce would do to me if he found me messing with his shoes - bad things, man, bad things" (in reference to Bruce Smith, DE from the Bills).

Or the Troy Aikman/Michael Irvin "ESP" commercial, where he just stares silently into the camera for the last 15 or 20 seconds...

The dude was a true original... I think when I get home in the morning, I'm gonna pop "Flashback" into the ol' DVD player and laugh myself silly...

RIP, Dennis... hope you've found nothing but "good things, man"...

Hopper will always be a favorite of mine for his performance in True Romance.

The "Sicilians" scene with Chris Walken will always be one of my favorite scenes in cinematic history. Spit in the face of your executioner.... In fact, I'd have to say it is my favorite scene....

There's a story of John Wayne and Dennis Hopper. Story goes that Hopper was doing so many drugs and hard alcohol that Wayne chased Hopper off the set of True Grit with a loaded gun.

I don't know if it's true or not but it's no secret that Hopper was a hard party kinda guy.
