Remember when he did those Nike commercials for football? They were classic. Normally you don't actually see celebrities decline like this before you eyes. Not to mention he is dealing with divorce also. Can't even imagine all he is going through.

He did some good moives - but you have to remember that he was big time into drugs early on up till the 80's

I met Dennis Hopper over at a friend's house sometime in the 80's. The friend was a musician and poster artist who ran across Hopper while he was down shooting a movie in Austin. I think he was filming Texas Chainsaw Massacre II.

Had no idea who he was, he was just introduced as Dennis. He immediately made a pun on my name, and gauntlet thrown, there was a war of puns. He was very good at it. A real funny, well spoken guy. Played a nice acoustic guitar too. Didn't find out that it was Dennis Hopper til well after the fact.
