Dennis Houston 3 is looking good

I was actually going to post something on him earlier since he was mentioned as having a good day yesterday but was going to wait until he strung together a few practices.

I actually like this guy. At first, he was one of my least favorite UDFA WRs. But now, I'm seeing the light. He's a good prospect. Seems to have the right kind of work ethic. Quiet leader-type. I think he can do the job as a 5th, 6th kind of WR. He's not bad.

This guy is probably the most under-the-radar prospect we have, because he's the type to quietly make the team. We have Vasher, Fryfogle, Drummond, Roberson and this guy..

My two favorite bottom of the roster guys are Roberson and Houston.

when they get out of shorts this coming week and start hitting, pushing, shoving, etc etc actually putting a rush on the qbs, then we can start judging these guys.,,.honestly never heard of him and dont remember post draft chatter on him..

There's a guy like him in training camp every year that draws a lot of hype just to be never heard from again.
I wish him the best though.

Does he play STs? If not, don't expect him to have much of a shot at the 53.

As far as WR goes other than CeeDee, Gallup and Tolbert I think no one else is guaranteed a spot and no one else is someone I'd be upset about losing. This new kid we signed could be our return guy (or not) and we still may bring in another vet now or at cut down day. I'm no huge Will Fuller fan and he is an injury waiting to happen, but for the first 4 weeks when Gallup is out he would help. He isn't getting anywhere near the $10M he got last year. Would he sign a one year $4M deal (Julio singed for 1 year @ $6M)? Other wise maybe we wait until cut down day or look at a trade right before.

I hope that Houston makes the team. Has anybody heard anything about him? He is one of the rookie receivers.
I've felt all off season that one of these UDFA WR would not only make the team, but have a small impact.

At the same time I wondered why they haven't sought a smaller, shifty type of weapon for Dak, and I just noticed the new guy is exactly that. Name escapes me and I'm lazy at the moment lol.

Hopefully we can stash a couple of them on the PS, and Mr Fehoko had best bring his A game on a daily basis.

Yep was just thinking that also.
Will get pumped up by some fans, like Rico Gathers and Darius Jackson.

I do wish him well also. Fehoko and maybe Vasher is his competition for now. I know some fans were high go Fryogle as well.
Oh and now Turpin is in the mix.

With Gallup out, he could sneak onto the Week one roster.

Lamb, Washington, Tolbert, Brown, Simi. That 5th/6th spot is wide open

Don't forget Turpin...there is room for a return specialist...can be a game changer.

Turpin has far less competition, not many pure slot types that can be used in jet sweeps and be the punt returner.

out side of CD and Gallup, two 1.5 WRs (I don't consider either #1 reciever) and tolbert at this point a lower end #2 potential. the rest are tier 3 WRs, so they all have some positive, leave a lot to be desired. each bring something different to the table, none give you the warm and fuzzies. in one off season we went from WR being a strength, to one that's a huge concern.

I think that will be fine. I like what I am seeing so far. I think Turpin will make the team for sure, giving them an outstanding return man. I think that Vasher and Houston have a good chance of making the team also.
