The Broncos haven't spoken to Javon Walker's agent since the end of the season. The Denver Post expects him to be cut or traded within a month.
Walker isn't going to to take a paycut to stay in Denver. Considering the health of his knee, we seriously doubt that any other team will trade for him. Look for Walker to hit the open market.

Bring him back to Texas Jerry, If he's cut. T.O., Walker, Crayton and Witten!!

No thanks, I'd prefer a WR we can rely upon.

Bad knees is a bad situation. We've been there and done that with Glenn.

The part in bold is all I need to read. Add to that the fact that he is turning 30 this year....I'll pass.

He gets cut, we can sign him to a similar deal that T.O. signed. Basically, three one year deals.

For a lot less money. Knee injuries for receivers are no joke.

I hear ya but still would pass on him. Dallas needs to get younger at WR. When he's healthy he's a good player. No doubt about that but he hasn't been healthy for a couple years now plus he is gonna be 30yrs. old. No thanks on this one HHR31.

If I'm Jerry, I'd want our scouting department/coaches carefully study any game film on him to see how he played the little time he was healthy in Denver. If it's too early to determine how soon/if he can be ready to play before TC opens, that's another situation. However, if it looks like he could pass a stringent physical in a few months and realistically be our #2 WR, I'd sign him to a low incentive based 2 year contract. However, I'd also use one of our high round picks to draft a quality young WR for our future. Walker would in effect serve as the bridge until our newly drafted WR is ready to significantly contribute to our offense. I might also add that the Broncos QB situation wasn't the greatest this year nor last year despite all the big deal made of Cutler.

BTW: Don't see any way you can compare Walker with Glenn's situation. We got Glenn from Packers for only a 6th round pick and he gave us 4 very productive years. Don't see how we can lose by just talking/taking a look at him and his situation.

Bring him in for some reps, give him a one year deal if he can survive a RW horse collar:rolleyes:

History has shown that over a period of time, usually 1 year players recover nicely from these type of injuries.

Teams will be scared of his knee injuries and his cost could be extremely low. Buy low.

Just because you bring in Walker doesn't mean you still can't draft a guy early.

Check this out. T.O., Walker, Crayton, Donnie Avery(Round#2) and Witten.

That's pretty good. Walker can be had cheap, IMO. In this case, there is no way they can double T.O. because of the threat Walker has. Donnie Avery can help on special teams and can help in spread offense. Donnie, IMO, is better than Hurd and Miles.

Adding these guys above will help the running game, too, no more 8 men in the box.

We could make out like we did with Glenn bringing Walker to Dallas. He'd be a great complement to Owens, I think. And the cost would likely be ridiculously low.

He had a great year in 06 (1000+ yards and 8 tds) so it isnt like he's so far out of his prime.

If we can get him on the chaep then he'd be a nice stand in for a year or two. The only downside is that with the knee injury he won't be a long term fixture also he's turning 30. Wouldn't be a first choice, but it wouldn't be the worst thing that could happen either.

Well, the main complaints I hear

Hes getting up there in age- Are we in a rebuilding stage or something? A one or two year deal isn't that bad. We can still pick up a good wr in the draft and with Walker we don't have to rush that receiver into the 2 slot right away.

Knee Problems- He should be cheap because of these problems. I doubt he would keep us from grabbing any one else that we really need.

Hes' going to be cheap, so it may be a risk but the payoff could be pretty good.

Now, if someone without the injury problems and/or is younger is available, then nab him. But this guy is a good option
