Denver ran to Osi's side 20 times and he didn't have a tackle?

A member on True Blue just posted that Denver ran 21 times on Osi's side of the line and he didn't register a single solitary tackle. If that's the case, Kyle and Flozell might be pushing him back on roller skates all night.

I just went and charted their runs to the left. Looks like they got 93 yards on those 21 carries. Three runs stopped for losses.

Here's the breakdown by quarter:

1st; 2, 5, 7, 5, 1, 6

2nd; -3, 11, 11, 5

3rd; 10, 2, 2

4th; 11, 1, 3, -1, 10, 1, 2, -1

Just to note, that red -1 denotes the point in the game where Denver went up 23 to 6. They pretty much were in ball control mode after that.

Before that TD, they were averaging 4.6 yards per carry on the left side.

To the right and to the middle, they averaged 2.6 yards per carry. Something to really look at is that they gained 24 of their 46 yards to the right and middle on three plays of 6, 6, and 12 yards.

That gives you a remainder of 15 carries for 22 yards on the right side or middle of the line.

You laugh, but he has a knack for looking at what an opponent does poorly and attacking the opposite of that. Maybe he thinks they would over-emphasize shoring up whatever their weakness is and he can exploit whatever hole that opens up, but often it ends up just looking foolish.

This is extremely funny.

But honestly...we'd never get to 21 rushes on one side. Do you know the dedication required to do that?

The Giants D has been in shambles all season...Osi has always been a liability to the run IMO...forever. He should already be in the gameplan. But....We are better than them right now...and healthier. The only way we lose is if we are not as prepared as them, and get out coached.

Another thing...it's the Green Bay situation all over. The NY Media is BASHING them. You think the Dallas media is tough...check this out.

Gary Myers of the New York Daily News:

The Giants have turned this into a forgettable season. They've lacked their trademark resilience, don't fight through adversity, no longer impose their will. They don't look anything like the team that won the Super Bowl two years ago.
Now they face a two-week battle for playoff survival against the hated Cowboys and Eagles.
There's no indication they have it in them to reach down deep, show some of the old Giants pride and put this season back together. That means by the time they absorb the one-two punch from the Cowboys and Eagles in back-to-back home games, they will be knocked out of the NFC East race and hanging on the ropes in the wild-card fight.
If you have anything inside of you...you'd give everything you've got on Sunday. We need to be prepared for this type emotion from them more than anything.

They've run it more the last couple of games and I don't believe they'll stop that. I think they'll see that and give us plenty of looks at running right at Osi.

They had a great run to win the SB in 2007. I don't think one year is enough to say their trademark is being a resilient team. They have faded this year. They faded down the stretch last year. Until their big playoff run in 2007, they were a team on the verge of firing their coach. They faded down the stretch in 2006. Seems to me that they are playing now exactly the same way they have been playing over the previous 3 seasons and that the playoff run of 2007 was outside of their norm.

The Cowboys tend to run to the left anyways. They will probably being even more so with Colombo being replaced on the right with Free.

good stats breakdown

90yds on 21 carries to that side, that's a 4.3avg...not great, but plenty enough. Take away the last 5 carries and its 16carries for 79yds (4.9 avg). Again, i'd take a 4.9avg/carry

It is interesting that Denver did go to that side 21/40 carries and picked up 90/138 yards there.

Dallas rolled them for 250yds rushing last time. Let's face it, Romo commits one less turnover and Dallas wins. Giants will likely be expecting the same thing, so I hope Garrett does go w/ a heavy dose of the run and sticks to it. THOUGH, if things don't work out and Giants do make the adjustments, I hope Garrett has a legit Plan-B ready to go in the next chamber.
