I take it that your initial disappointment in the pick, despite your love for FBs, is quickly dissipating? :D

that's what's good about unknown draft picks, you have time to feel better about them once you get up to speed

Everything I read or see about this kid that isn't stats focused screams football player to me.

Completely agree, Hos.

I will admit to not being too keen on the selection early either, especially with the euphemistic "character concern" label that had been thrown on him.

But everything since then has been positive. From hearing him and his family's reaction to him being drafted, to videos like the one you posted, and of course peaking with the screaming chicken special teamer story (I still start laughing every time I picture that).

Can't wait to see this kid bring the pain.

LOL @ the white guys form. Anyways, looks like Deon will fit right in, in the locker room, hopefully he fits right into the offense at FB as well.

I gotta agree, Hos.
I'm lovin this kid more and more each day.
Got a fire it seems and this offense needs a headhunting FB.

He's a little bowling ball with good hands.
Tomlinson is good but he benefits greatly from Lo Neal.
I'd love to have some like that here.

My only concern is the possible character issue. I hope he's got his priorities in check.

If so, I'm sorry to say... bye, bye Polite.

Who is the last punishing lead blocker we've had, Jamar Martin?
Hoyte last year actually. I have a feeling on Special Teams and as a lead blocker this guy is going to be every bit as good.

78 yards rushing in 2006 and 14 receptions...but was voted the team MVP.

I got a real good feeling.
